One4all gift card

Has anyone received one of these and managed to use it? It's a pre-loaded card for use (allegedly) in many stores including WHSMITH,
John Lewis, Boots and many others.
DH received one for his birthday last week and decided to use it in WHSmith. The assistant looked doubtful when asked if they accepted it and said that they had been having trouble with them. Decided to try online but was still unable to process the payment. Spent ages on the phone to a customer care person who was not much help! He told me to use it as a credit or debit card but was rejected each time. I did check the balance and there is money on it.
Have emailed the company and WHSmith and awaiting replies, but thought I'd ask on here too. Awful reviews on trust pilot so am concerned that DH won't be able to use it.

Yes - I was given one a couple of years ago - it’s great - you have a choice of many stores where you can use the card

My DH and I were both given one earlier this year. They have to be used as a preloaded debit card not as a gift voucher. DH used them both in B&Q, but a lot of shops do not know how to process them. I hope this helps.

Thanks
The only purchases DH wants to make is for specialist stationery items in Smiths so will persevere with them. Hope that they reply to my email soon.

Used them no problem in the past.

Finally managed to order the required items. The problem seemed to be because I was trying to purchase items over the limit of the card, thinking that I could pay the excess amount by credit card. They don't allow that.
Ended up getting £10 off the order (special promotion from WHSmith ) which I used to get a Christmas present for DGD. ?

I'm happy for you that you managed to use your card.
Anyone here knows is lowes gift card good for present? I found great information about it here giftcards-market.com/downloads/lowe-s-gift-card/ . But now I have doubts, especially after reading this post. Maybe that's a sign, I don't know and I'm confused.

I had one last year from my son and DIL. I was unable ro use it in Boots And found out that have to go online and activate it, I think there is a code on the back of the card. Knce I had done that it was fine.

I have bought these in recent years from the Post Office as gifts for various family members. They are great as can be used in so many different shops or online. I seem to remember that they do need activating first.

I’m trying to buy one for Son in law in Aus but can’t get the site to accept my telephone no. Please don’t tell me I need +44 or leave off the 0. I have tried every connotation I can think of!

I have some Love to Shop vouchers which cover WHSmith, boots and many other well known shops, yet still have problems with these vouchers being accepted in the shops on the card.
Last week I tried to use m &s vouchers which I get by using their bank card, my first shopping trip out since 2020 but was told they were out of date ( by a couple of months only) and refused.
Took the edge off my first taste of normality and am starting to loathe vouchers, shopping too if I am honest. I have a bundle of vouchers which I carry round with me in the hope I can spend them one day. One fine day.
