Just that really. We are planning to visit my son in Brighton at the weekend and I wondered what the petrol situation is down there.
Here near Leicester fuel is readily a available.

Ask your son?

A tad blunt GrandmaKT.

Yes agreed Jax the poster is probably trying to find someone who lives in Brighton to answer a simple question, so she can plan the journey.
OP may not be able to contact her son at the moment.

I have asked my son but as he doesn’t use his car he had no idea. I just thought someone who lived in or around Brighton might have some idea.

My son lives near Brighton and got diesel quite readily in order to drive about 200 miles. However you did say petrol so my comment may not help. Sorry.

I would have a full tank you should be able to do Brighton and back then you don't have to worry

A lot of people in Brighton have given up their cars as parking is horrendous GrandmaKT and public transport is pretty good.

I would have thought they still walk/ride past petrol garages though? Sorry if I caused offense to the OP, I just thought that if I was visiting my son in Brighton I would ask him what the fuel situation was and if he didn't know I would expect him to find out.

I filled up for the first time yesterday?. Hopefully it is getting easier.

Fill up before you go??

Ha ha you obviously don’t know my son GrandmaKT. It is not desperate as I know we can almost get there and back on one tank. I just thought I would get a better idea of the situation from the sensible grans on here.

Sainsbury in Hove has petrol.

We drove to Battle ( Hastings) last Weekend and the few garages we passed from the M25 down ( including Maidstone services- although it was shockingly costly- I rarely fill up on motorways!) had at least some petrol ( but not a choice of octanes) . I realise this may not be helpful as Brighton is further west- but my general impression was that buying petrol was not as problematic ( no long queues) as in the Home Counties!
