As a teenager, which singers/actors did you really fancy, even fantasise about? For me it was -
Davy Jones (Monkees)
Peter Frampton (Thunderclap Newman)
David Cassidy
David Essex
Peter Noon (Herman’s Hermits)
Sasha Distel

Oh, how my imagination ran wild when I thought of, in particular, Davy Jones. And I was only about 13/14 at the time!

If I may change OP’s question a little to “Who do you find attractive now” I have to say Sting.
He has recently turned 70 but I think he has aged well, like a fine wine.
He can sing to me anytime. Many say he is arrogant - but I find even that attractive. He has always been a man who knows where he is going in life and what he wants to achieve.

Oh yes Bryan every time

Butweam1952 Fri 31-Dec-21 16:00:21

Definitely Steve McQueen. The Great Escape is still my favourite film!
Loved the Monkees, Paul Newman, Pete Duel and Ben Murphy.

Cat Stevens was my ideal man in looks and personality, i was so upset when he changed religion!

Does anyone think Joe Wicks looks a bit like Cat Stevens?

Was totally devoted to:

George Harrison
Barry Gibb

Was there a cowboy tv programme called Bronco in the early 60s? I was about 5 but I think I fancied the lead actor!

Think he was called Ty Hardin.

Mr Spock from Star Trek
James Taylor

Kate1949 Fri 31-Dec-21 14:26:29

Keith Richards is on my list posted above. He was lovely back then.
I had a soft spot for Richard O'Sullivan from Man About The House. I met him once. He was delightful. He became quite poorly unfortunately.

Petalpop Fri 31-Dec-21 14:18:16

George Harrison was my favourite.
In second place was - I can't actually believe I am owning up to this now - Keith Richards. He is the stuff of nightmares to me now.
And not forgetting Rod Stewart - but having seen him on the tv lately he should just back off and enjoy retirement.
So today one of my favourites is dead, another looks dead and the other managed to survive all that sex, drugs and rock and roll.

SuRu Fri 31-Dec-21 14:13:49

So many have mentioned my crushes, but could I just add one more? Leonard Whiting (He was Romeo in Zefferilli's R & J). I had his poster on my wall for years.

Buttercup1954 Fri 31-Dec-21 13:58:38

David McCallum - Ilya Kuryakin in the Man from Uncle
Cliff Richard
David Essex
David Cassidy
Mick Jagger
Little Joe in Bonanza
So many really.....

I used to like Captain Scarlet even though he was a puppet !

Marina (Aqua Marina) I loved her too, even though she was a puppet (from Stingray).

Anthony Hopkins when I got to teenage years.

Also normal crushes like everyone else grin

Rapunzel100 Fri 31-Dec-21 13:35:41

Troy Donahue, after seeing him in A Summer Place with Sandra Dee.

Thereafter, too many to list. I was very fickle!

Lyng17 Fri 31-Dec-21 13:28:06

Peter Frampton
Richard Beckinsale
David Essex
Paul McCartney.

MissAdventure Fri 31-Dec-21 13:19:58

He was very handsome as he grew older.
I wasn't a fan, but saw him on something or other and he was just lovely.
I didn't realise he had drink problems at all.

mrsgreenfingers56 Fri 31-Dec-21 13:12:21

David Cassidy without a doubt. Nobody else touched him and so upset how his life ended with his drink problem.

jaybee66 Fri 31-Dec-21 13:11:21

Elvis was my first ever love (in all his films I imagined I was the one he was kissing) I was only 14 at the time and couldn't understand this certain feeling I was experiencing when watching him!
Rowdy Yates (Clint Eastwood)
Robert Horton in Wagon Train
