As a teenager, which singers/actors did you really fancy, even fantasise about? For me it was -
Davy Jones (Monkees)
Peter Frampton (Thunderclap Newman)
David Cassidy
David Essex
Peter Noon (Herman’s Hermits)
Sasha Distel

Oh, how my imagination ran wild when I thought of, in particular, Davy Jones. And I was only about 13/14 at the time!

Alison333

Was totally devoted to:

George Harrison
Barry Gibb

Was there a cowboy tv programme called Bronco in the early 60s? I was about 5 but I think I fancied the lead actor!

Think he was called Ty Hardin.

Cat Stevens was my ideal man in looks and personality, i was so upset when he changed religion!

Does anyone think Joe Wicks looks a bit like Cat Stevens?

Butweam1952 Fri 31-Dec-21 16:00:21

Definitely Steve McQueen. The Great Escape is still my favourite film!
Loved the Monkees, Paul Newman, Pete Duel and Ben Murphy.

Oh yes Bryan every time

If I may change OP’s question a little to “Who do you find attractive now” I have to say Sting.
He has recently turned 70 but I think he has aged well, like a fine wine.
He can sing to me anytime. Many say he is arrogant - but I find even that attractive. He has always been a man who knows where he is going in life and what he wants to achieve.

He practices tantric sex, too.
smile

Kate1949 Fri 31-Dec-21 16:42:31

Paul Nicholas had a lovely smile in Just Good Friends.

MissAdventure Fri 31-Dec-21 16:43:59

He was another cheeky chap type.
Too clean cut for me.
I like a big old hairy bruiser. grin

LeighC Fri 31-Dec-21 16:52:37

I loved Paul Nicholas too! Such a cheeky smile. It probably helped that my husband liked Jan Francis so we could both enjoy watching Just Good friends! We watched the repeats recently and he was still as good looking to me!

So it would seem MissAdventure ?. Also he has owned a vast summer home in Tuscany for the last 30 years - my favourite place to holiday.

MissAdventure Fri 31-Dec-21 16:56:34

That's handy.
If ever........ wink

GreenGran78 Fri 31-Dec-21 17:09:36

Definitely Paul Newman, with his lovely eyes. Even as an elderly man he kept his good looks.
I'm surprised how few have voted for Elvis. I like his singing, but never cared much for him. My son's MIL is besotted with him.
My mum loved Liberace!

Kate1949 Fri 31-Dec-21 17:12:17

I watched a programme last week, The Frank Sinatra Show. Elvis was on it. He was ridiculously handsome.

Wetnosewheatie Fri 31-Dec-21 17:37:51

In between the Lines and Drop the Dead Donkey

sodapop Fri 31-Dec-21 17:41:04

Chestnut Fri 31-Dec-21 17:50:21

Elvis and Paul Newman are the most handsome men who ever lived. I can't decide between them.

Keith Moon - the Who's bad boy

Keith Richards - he's gone off a bit! I recently read his autobiography and he genuinely seems like a nice person.

Ringo - because no one else seemed to fancy him! I reckon he's aged well.

Johnnie Walker the DJ -I used to listen to his show on Radio Caroline and fell in love with his voice

Kate1949 Fri 31-Dec-21 18:14:24

mrswoo I read Keith's autobiography too. He comes across as a lovely fair man.
Always George for me. I wish!

Chestnut Fri 31-Dec-21 18:14:38

mrswoo you have a thing for drummers it seems. Keith Moon was utterly bonkers. Keith Richards fronted an evening of TV a few years back and he was very good and had plenty of interesting things to say. You are wrong about Ringo, lots of people said he was their favourite Beatle. He was a genuinely nice person, could be very funny and I agree has aged well and looks pretty cool.

Chestnut Fri 31-Dec-21 18:15:31

Sorry, Keith Richards was never a drummer!

MissAdventure Fri 31-Dec-21 18:15:45

I do like a guitar player myself.

Camelotclub Fri 31-Dec-21 18:19:25

Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees. He was my ideal man. Oh, and the bass player in Amen Corner!
