As a teenager, which singers/actors did you really fancy, even fantasise about? For me it was -
Davy Jones (Monkees)
Peter Frampton (Thunderclap Newman)
David Cassidy
David Essex
Peter Noon (Herman’s Hermits)
Sasha Distel

Oh, how my imagination ran wild when I thought of, in particular, Davy Jones. And I was only about 13/14 at the time!

f77ms my OH was the image of Cat Stevens when we got married, girls used to follow him down the street,it was hilarious.Nowadays he's the double of Pierce Brosnan and yes he still get women and men stopping him in the street now and then.
Once in Croatia we had a group of giggling girls following us all afternoon and another time in Ireland a guy rushed across the road to shake his hand and tell him he was a great admirer. My daughter gets upset about it as she had a crush on Pierce Brosnan when he was younger and its just not right that her dad morphed into him

As a teenager in the late '50s Adam Faith was my favourite. My bedroom walls were virtually covered with his photographs.

Me too. Rory, that is. I was only listening to Runrig last night after someone mentioned them on Facebook. Did you see the documentary about them on Sky Arts the other week. I’m sure everybody else fancied Donnie but for me it was Rory!

Unfortunately I missed it ... I was thinking about putting one of the DVDs on later though. I had a very good friend who is no longer with us who absolutely adored Donnie.

David Attenborough. Still love watching him in those black and white programmes from the 60s rolling about with chimpanzees: envy!

Bonneygran Sat 01-Jan-22 00:38:14

Brian Jones ( Rolling Stones ) he had a sweet face and lovely hair, and, of course, Rod with the Small Faces, and Maggie May to the present day…. Oh yes!
Happy New Year, everyone!
