Just stuck my head out - gawd it's cold, bright & sunny but cold! sunshine

I'm trying to persuade myself to get dressed and run some errands but my backside will not rise from this chair.

I might have another coffee while I think things over! smile

If you feel up to it please share a photo of your painting nadeteturbe.
Hope you feel better very soon. ?

I haven't been out although I only manage short walks recently anyway. North Antrim overcast and it has rained all day. I've been ill for 4 weeks and I have managed to paint very badly some watercolour flowers today. That is progress.?

East Midlands and its very grey and cold outside. Brrrrr……. I think it is a hot toddy night.

It’s pretty dull and cloudy here in Wales. However, I must have a shower and get ready for Church. Haven’t been for months…

Where are you Espee? not middle England for sure.
It has got warmer here throughout the day so now 9 degrees, but it is windy again and clouds are dark and threatening.

I’ve been outside since 5ish. Had a nice long walk then a swim in the sea before breakfast and am currently lying in the shade of an almond tree. Temp. about 30C but a lovely sea breeze makes it bearable.

I took the dog out and came back frozen stiff, in spite of gloves, scarf and padded coat. Littel dog enjoyed it.

The rain hasn’t let up, but we took our dog for a 20 minute run across the fields. She ran 6.2 miles and we walked 2.1. It’s worth the effort for an hour’s peace while she sleeps afterwards.

More blue skies and sunshine today but a tad chilly sunshine

I was up and out early for a trot around the shops - bought a pair of jeans from M&S and bathroom scales from Peter Jones.

This happened on Saturday not far from where we live
www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/overhead-images-storm-malik-gateshead-22922660.
In Newcastle a retired lady was blown onto the road in front of a bus. Thankfully rescued by locals and the bus deiver.
I hope we're not going to have more of these hurricanes.
But more cold sunny days too.

Yes , just come back from an hours walk, most of it beside the sea. Low cloud here today but not cold or windy. Really enjoyed it.

Off to the beach, the sun is trying hard and I actually like it when the sea shimmery grey. Very still here.
Need to pick up some cocktail sausages on the way for the dog to call him back to base.

I've done an hour's walk - blue skies, 9C and sunshine sunshine despite the weather app saying it's overcast!

This is one of my favourite websites. I like the bright colours!

It’s a beautiful morning after the wild winds of yesterday. DH is just going to pick up all the plant pots that are rolling around. The long tailed tits are enjoying the feeders today.

Bright sunshine and crisp on the Devon coast so off out with the dogs.
Our area is on Countryfile tonight if anyone is interested.

Riverwalk Sun 30-Jan-22 10:39:36

I'm back from a brisk 75 minute walk, all bright eyed and bushy-tailed. It's lovely and sunny but cold, about 2C sunshine

Feet up with the papers now smile cafe

South Tyneside - I daren't go out or I would get blown over.
The wind is howling.

TillyTrotter Sat 29-Jan-22 19:58:40

I saw pictures from Scotland on the news and there was so much damage from the storm and unfortunately a fatality.
Keep safe if you are in an affected area.

BBbevan Sat 29-Jan-22 19:13:39

Hope everyone in the NE and Scotland is O.K. What with Malik and Corrie next. Stay indoors .

Nothing nicer than a washing line full of nappies

Mollygo Sat 29-Jan-22 15:36:21

fulltimenana

Everyone uses disposable nappies don't they
I'm probably the minority of one using terry nappies

Yes you probably are in a minority regarding terry nappies, although this is the place to come to find out. Look on my washing line and you’d see several hanging out, but that’s because they lasted so long and make such useful hair towels. I only have a few left now. The others went from being nappies, to dusters, to floor cloths then out.

Take that back! The heavens opened on the way home and a beautiful rainbow was small compensation!
