E-tickets as presents unusable!

Can you forward the msg the tickets are in to your grandchildren's mother's phone? Or email them to yourself and then print them.

Just email them ... I have done this when I give my children vouchers for shops, when they are for me ... any concerns to put your mind at rest,
phone or pop into the venue concerned & ask. You won't be the first or last to do this no doubt others have done the same aswell ... don't worry ... contact venue & ask

My daughter has bought tickets for us in the past.She forwards the email and we have never had a problem using them.You can also print the e-tickets.

I agree with Spice101. If you email the message you received from Ticketmaster to your daughter/Dil she should be able to access the tickets. She may be asked to set up a Ticketmaster account to receive them if she doesn’t already have one. This link might be helpful to put your mind at rest.

I have done this, but directly with a theatre, I rang them to explain and it was not a problem for my DIL to have the forwarded e tickets.
It must be a common problem, I don’t know why they put this condition on the ticket.

I just print them out. Never been a problem

Screenshot the QR codes and send them. I went to an event the other week and I screenshot the QR codes despite having the Ticketmaster app and I used the screenshot to enter.

As others have said; I’ve booked flights for MrJ in July, I just forward the email with the e-tickets to his email, done it loads of times.

Yes.. Email them. I have a few times as things I booked before CV19, got changed.
They are good at giving you the solution.

some tickets now are non transferable: TicketMaster give this explanation:'We’ll provide the option to transfer eTickets whenever we can, but it isn’t available for every event at the moment – it can vary depending on the event.
If you don’t see the option in your account, this means that the transfer facility isn’t currently available. It may be made available nearer the time, but unfortunately this isn’t something we can guarantee or confirm in advance – we can only advise to keep checking back to your account.
If transfer isn’t available, this means that your entire group will need to arrive together for the event and the tickets can only be accessed from your account.

so it is a warning to us all if buying tickets in advance for others with TicketMaster. You only have to look at their Facebook customer queries to see what a nightmare it can be. Its time they became more accessible. the only contact is through limited questions and answers. . Good luck grannygranby I'm sure it will be alright in the end somehow but very distressing when it should not be.

I think it would work if you print the tickets. I always print mine as I hate fiddling with the phone!
However, I would be tempted to get in touch with customer service and play the 'Granny' card. You could also try Customer Services at the venue, who won't want to look bad.

If you can't contact Customer Services, then put a 'distress' call on Facebook. I did this recently, almost by accident as I was wanting folk in one of my FB group to know about a problem. Lo & behold, the company that couldn't deal with my query suddenly fixed it!

I bought them because it said you could print them and you can’t! They say I may be able to nearer to the event. It’s still worrying. But a warning to you all of you are buying tickets through Ticketmaster for others.
