This happens in San Francisco every year. I am most definitely NOT a prude, but this is something I would not want to see. What is the point of it, apart from the obvious reason to shock?

As a regular cyclist who always wears well-padded trousers, I would never dream of riding naked. The pain would be horrendous.

Why do they do it? Just WHY?

We have this in Brighton every year. I remember last year there were complaints about some of the riders using the community bikes.. People saying they didn't want to use a bike that had had a bare ar*e on it before .

I've done some World Naked Bike Rides in the past and hope to go again. For hygiene purposes I put something on the seat that I can take off and wash after.

DH and I have joined a few naturist walking groups as well. Absolutely fantastic - feeling fresh air and freedom.

I think I’d be worried about getting my old sagging boobs caught in the spokes

Thought there were decency laws? Not so much for the nakedness, but for the aesthetic assault on my vision!

I would not dream of taking part. Although as I habitually ride a cargo bike anyone looking at me from the front would not see all that much.

I have no objection to people being naked if they want, as long as they keep to nudist camps and beaches.

Why on earth should the rest of us have to look at them?

That is what we call, enjoyment, though I myself wouldn’t do it.

Sadly no. I can't ride a bike. But if I could........

Rather think my rear view on a saddle would look a bit like one of those wide loads that overhang the lorry and I would need an abnormal load escort with flashing lights etc …. Sorry for that image!

Ooohhhh no, won’t be taking part. Wouldn’t want to give onlookers nightmares at the sight of my stretch marks, cellulite and spare tyre ???

My city took part in the World Naked Bike Ride a few weeks ago. I didn’t hear about in beforehand and it was a shock to drive past a load and naked wobbly bums!!

We were in Toronto five years ago today and saw dozens of naked cyclists riding through the city. At first glance we thought they were all wearing skin coloured cycling gear, but no, all completely starkers.......the received rapturous applause from the crowds too.

Some daft bat got hundreds to bare all and be painted blue and photographed in Hull. I think it was when they were the city of "culture." Thank goodness they were painted but imagine trying to go home on the park and ride like that.

Tell them to bring it up North. The cold will soon sort them out! Although on a Saturday night in Newcastle some of the girls are almost there!

I think if I and many of my friends joined in it would soon see the end of any naked bike rides ??

Perhaps that's the answer to all these naked outings...
