Following on from the Naked Bike Ride thread, today I received an email casting call from Lost in TV for a programme called Naked Education.
They want to hear from me if I am “interested in releasing myself from the shackles of negative body image.”
Apparently participating in the programme will be a “liberating experience”

So fellow gransnetters, should I go for it?

P.S. I’m 73 and overweight.

seems not

Go for it! I hate the photoshopped selfies, there’s going to be so much body dysmorphia in the future. I wouldn’t inflict my battered 59year old body on anyone, except for the current husband smile. Fair play to anyone who are happy to do it though!

Go for it! I could never even put on a swimsuit in public now let alone be naked on the telly. If you have the confidence then definitely go out there and educate!

Sarongs!!

Sago

I’ll tell my husband……they may want him for a small part?.

Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

Which small part of him are you offering Sago?

You're right Calistemon21 rosacea IS a red rash..I read an article about it only other day.

Dowsabella Sat 11-Jun-22 10:51:34

DillytheGardener Sadly, SKs are no longer removed on the NHS as it is considered cosmetic! I would beg to disagree: I very much doubt any of the decision makers are old enough to have to put up with them. Cost about £200 per SK to go private. I wonder if they would do a discount for quantity... wink

Nannan2 Sat 11-Jun-22 10:49:15

This is a made up question right?

maddyone Sat 11-Jun-22 10:48:38

I wouldn’t, but what you do is entirely up to you.

grannybuy Sat 11-Jun-22 10:45:45

I had one of those removed by my doctor when I went to have a wart removed. Unfortunately, I’ve been left with a red, raw looking patch which is irritable and weeps slightly on occasion. It’s just as unsightly as the original.

Callistemon21 Sat 11-Jun-22 10:44:28

I thought that Rosacea is more of a red rash?

NainDylan Sat 11-Jun-22 10:42:59

I would also like to know how to get those horrible brown lumps removed from face. I did ask my GP but she said it was Rosacea and gave me some cream for it.

Years ago ankles were supposed to be erotic and not to be revealed

My ankles aren't bad ........ ?

BlueSky Thu 09-Jun-22 22:35:23

No far too much revealing body and soul nowadays. I’m a very private person. Can’t understand that ‘Naked attraction’ programme, it’s the most unsexy thing I’ve ever seen!

BlueBelle Thu 09-Jun-22 17:57:53

Oh no positively glam Espee no crusty spots or veins my legs are still a redeeming feature but I m sorry to disappoint but I wouldn’t even go on tv with all my clothes on let alone off ??

DillytheGardener Thu 09-Jun-22 17:55:16

Deedaa ??

Deedaa Thu 09-Jun-22 17:43:22

Can't help feeling that this could be a liberating experience for us and a terrifying one for those filming us grin

AreWeThereYet Thu 09-Jun-22 17:41:47

We will all promise to watch and support you.

With our clothes on ?

DillytheGardener Thu 09-Jun-22 17:37:54

*seborrheic keratoses removed I mean.

DillytheGardener Thu 09-Jun-22 17:37:33

Off topic but has anyone had one removed, I’ve a horrid one that sits exactly under my underwire. Rubs and bleeds. Sexy! Maybe I should go on the show. I have terrible spider veins and ‘hot water bottle rash’ too.

Esspee Thu 09-Jun-22 17:35:26

You are feeling competitive BlueBelle or do you mean glamorous? Either way you sound like the perfect gransnetter to take on the challenge.
We will all promise to watch and support you.

Farzanah

I think we should see others imperfections, then as a society we may be more accepting, rather than trying so hard to imitate artificially created images.
Humans are imperfect, they age, it’s normal.
I do life drawing and bodies are all different and wonderfully unique.

That's all very well but how do you convince a generation that have been raised on TikToc and Facebook, who think that plastic surgery is the norm and would rather look like a cat than a woman??? I don't think us flaunting our seborrheic keratoses is going to convince them.

BlueBelle Thu 09-Jun-22 17:26:11

I feel quite gamerous after all your crusty posts ???

Esspee Thu 09-Jun-22 17:12:35

Anyone who feels they might like to apply please PM me with your email address and I’ll forward the email which has a link you will need to use.

Luckygirl3

Wear your blemishes with pride! I am covered in those horrid crusty things - seborrheic keratoses. I hate them, so it is just as well that no-one else has to look at them!

Got them too on my face, couldn’t remember what they were called.
