Absolutely! I live on exactly that amount each month. I live alone, so that makes a difference, in that I don't have a man to feed! I don't have a car (use free public transport in Merseyside, bus and train everywhere...) I don't have any pets to feed or insure. No mortgage. I don't eat out much, and nowadays, I don't really cook very much, I eat a lot of salads. All my clothes (apart from socks, shoes and underwear) come from charity shops or Ebay. Don't spend much on home decor, I have enough stuff. Don't buy books, use the public library or borrow from Amazon Prime. I do spend money going to classes each week, that's my main luxury now. I could live on even less if I didn't drink alcohol! The only thing I miss is foreign holidays, I would have to save up for a long time to afford one nowadays, but looking at the airport situation, I'm not in that much of a rush to get away! I can't tell you how happy I am not to have to go to work every day. I had to wait 6 extra years for my State Pension, and I just love waking up in the morning when I want to! Ditch the job!
He has done it! The toolmakers son has resigned!
