My GD is 10 and wears size adult size 4 shoes. She also has wide feet. The problem is that it is very difficult to find shoes or sandals that she can wear with dresses/party outfits. If I Google wide sandals/shoes the choices are very frumpy and clumpy and are obviously designed for older ladies. There are some more suitable styles available at places like Clarke's and specialist shoe shops but they are VERY expensive and as she is growing at a rate of knots would probably only fit her for six months or so befoe she grows out of them. Does anyone know where I could find some decent shoes/sandals online that wouldn't cost the earth for her to wear to friends' parties, family occasions and so on with pretty dresses/jumpsuits?

Try a catalogue! Simplybe has come up trumps for my granddaughter, so worth a look.

I feel her pain! I too have wide feet and often struggle to find shoes I feel happy wearing. New Look have quite a range of wide fit shoes and sandals. Dorothy Perkins also. M&S have a few as well, but probably a bit more expensive than you would want to pay. Primark, (although not online) do cheap as chips wide fit shoes. George at Asda and Matalan do wide fit too. Good luck!

You could just buy a pair of canvas plimsols or trainers and get creative. Use braid or ribbon for laces, stick sequins or sparkles onto the canvas, add bows. Sorted.

Trainers with dresses seem to be very popular. I think I’d decorate some up as josieanne suggests, it could work well and the shoes would be unique to her.

What about Converse? Because they are fabric, they are stretchy. My DGS has an H fitting in Clarks and is very comfortably able to wear Converse.

Not cheap I know, but can be picked up cheaply on Facebook marketplace, Vinted, Ebay etc.

They are VERY fashionable and come in glitter, sequined etc. Brides wear them now, so definitely feminine too.

I wear size 4 EEE fitting shoes, and I buy them from JD Williams. Only you will know what is suitable for your granddaughter, but they have a very big selection

I have wide feet and have just bought some shoes from Amazon on try before you buy. I just searched for wide fitting shoes.

Thanks all! I will certainly start doing my research on all your suggestions. Using braids, sequins and other decoration on trainers or plimsolls is right up my street!! And I will certainly look at Simplybe, New Look and the other sites that have been suggested.

White trainers are the in thing to wear with dresses etc at the moment
