Wasn’t the film if the 10 year old girl dancing and singing to Sweet Caroline, then the interview with her sublime. She’s now bern given a ticket fir herself and an adult to go to Wembley and meet the pundits. And - aren’t the pundits fabulous - loving it

I’ve been invited to watch it with DD and friends so I’ll bag myself a corner with a large cushion I can howl behind if things get too nail biting.

I normally have no interest in football but have been living this. Wishing them lots of luck for Sunday.

As an aside, am I the only person to think white shorts might not be the best choice for a women's team?

Tess has been a delight, hasn’t she? I’ve seen her interviewed several times. I think she’s only 8. So confident yet unassuming and with such good manners. I’m hoping to see more of her at the final.

I agree Maggiemaybe. I’m hoping they show her meeting the pundits (too much to dare hope she can meet the team). Confident, unassuming, articulate and yes such good manners. A real little cracker ?

Eventually I realised that the turnip was a swede -
