Getting married again at 65

I’m very much in love with the kindest, most supportive man I’ve ever met and we want to get married. We both own our own properties and I want to make sure that when I die or if we get divorced (just being realistic), that my daughter inherits/gets my house. I suppose we’ll need a pre-nup? Any advice would be very welcome.

Yes congratulations. Just wondering though, where does your FB name come from?

I'm hoping 65 is not la crepescule!

Although you never know.

Please note that in Scotland marriage does not make your old will invalid .

Reading these posts it would seem you should proceed with great caution.
In your position I feel sure I would not complicate things by getting married. Live together , enjoy your lives together but above all protect your daughters inheritance!!!

My late DH always told me to enjoy the rest of my life but do not remarry.
Do take proper legal advice and get the will sorted because I have heard some real horror stories and one of them was in my own family.
