As a youngster I always liked the coffee creams that were included in many boxed selections. Over the years these seemed to be fazed out. Imagine my delight this morning, I had been gifted a small box of Black Magic by my lovely neighbour and to my delight there was coffee creams included in the selection.
What's your best or least favourite in a box of choccies?

grin love that - they are my least favourite too! Don't like the toffees much, prefer fudge any day! (But there are not many I wouldn't eat!)

In Quality Street, I'm very keen on the Purple Ones, or the Green Triangles! Generally I like the fruity cremes - orange, strawberry etc.

I loved the butterscotch. Disliked coffee and orange creams.

Goodness Parlourgames that takes me back. Mum had a cleaning job with our local farmer’s wife. They had a sweet tooth and had ordered hoardes of different makes of chocolate boxes from the wholesaler. After Christmas they would present mum with a whole box full of the chocolates they didn’t like, which was mostly coffee! Mum liked coffee but as a child I didn’t. You would have loved them!

I love the coffee ones. In fact I like them all except for Turkish Delight.

I love coffee creams too Parlorgames luckily my DH doesn’t so I get them to myself. Also fond of marzipan and coconut chocolates. Not a fan of Turkish delight, ginger or hard caramels.

I like the nutty ones or Turkish Delight!

Blossoming Thu 22-Dec-22 12:08:23

Caramels favourite, marzipan least favourite.

Coffee creams are my absolute favourite, so just leave them all for me please!

Hate anything with nut in.

I've not had (or seen) a coffee cream chocolate for years, I can't remember seeing Black Magic either.
I'm looking forward to any sort of chocolate this Christmas...!! wink

I'll happily have all the coffee ones along with turkish delight and green triangles.

Gymstagran Thu 22-Dec-22 12:19:57

I love the coffee ones, hate the strawberry.

Gingster Thu 22-Dec-22 12:23:53

Love coffee creams, soft caramel, Turkish delight . Dislike orange, strawberry, marzipan , nuts

As a child I soon worked out that as nobody else in the family liked coffee cremes or butterscotch I would get them anyway so I just enjoyed my share of the "favourites" and then got the unwanted ones anyway, as extras!

Canny move HPQ wink. Actually, theres not many chocolates that I don't like.

I like nut or praline ones. Can’t stand orange and strawberry creams. Would never eat them even I really fancied some chocolate. Don’t mind coffee creams for some reason though.

I loved the coffee creams as well ParlorGames when I was still working my colleagues would bring in all their coffee creams for me - heaven.

CraftyGranny Thu 22-Dec-22 13:33:18

I ordered a box of coffee creams from Hotel last year for my sister. She loves them. You can order your favourites from there.

I don't like the soft ones, apart from Turkish delight. Not a fan of Belgian or praline either

Coffee creams were my favourite, but they seem to have disappeared. But I did find these on Amazon. Am I tempted ??

paddyann54 Thu 22-Dec-22 13:45:40

I love coffee creams ,its hard to find good ones though some are sickly sweet .We used to be next door to a sweet shop who sold the best coffee creams I've ever had when they closed I was a bit upset.
Friends would always pick up a quarter in a wee paper bag every time they visited us ,it was just as well I did loads of exercise back then.Any recommendations for good ones would be appreciated

Fleurpepper Thu 22-Dec-22 14:20:03

No 'cream' chocolate of any kind, yuk! Yes, nut or praline, and dark, 70% REAL chocolate (no palm oil, but proper cocoa).

Doodle Thu 22-Dec-22 14:23:23

No not coffee creams. I didn’t like those at all. Orange or strawberry cream I love, Turkish delight, pralines.
I did love toffee ones but my teeth don’t. 😊

Funny - it seems many that like them don’t like Turkish delight and vice versa. Is this a tastebuds thing? I live proper Turkish delight but cannot stand the chocolate coated version and adore anything coffee flavoured. Coffee ice cream is a dream.
