Can you please recommend a 'Gourmand' perfume?

A gourmand fragrance is a perfume consisting primarily of synthetic edible (gourmand) notes, such as honey, chocolate, vanilla or candy. These top and middle notes may be blended with non-edible base notes such as patchouli or musk. They have been described as olfactory desserts.

Angel is perhaps one which fits the bill.

If available in UK, check out The 7 Virtues fragrances. They source their fragrance oils from countries rebuilding from war or poverty, their motto is 'Make perfume, Not War' vetivier from Haiti, ethically sources vanilla, etc.

Some of their fragrances are considered gourmand;Vanilla Woods, or Blackberry Lily. I believe you can find them at Sephora UK.

As these perfumes tend to be very expensive I would be tempted to ask her for her preference. or you can google them for descriptions. Prada seems to do a really lovely sounding one.

Perfume is such a personal thing and I know from experience they smell very different on different people. So I would suggest either a gift voucher for a ‘high end’ shop who are likely to stock fragrances that may fit the bill that she can try on her own skin or, alternatively, book a treat afternoon where you take her out to sample and then buy perfume combined with a lovely afternoon tea somewhere. I only have grandsons so that would be my idea of a heavenly girlie afternoon!

Jo Malone might be a good place to look. I think one of my DDs wears her fig and? or the White Company my DD always says he can taste it and he tells her not to use too much..
Angel is very heavy for my taste but could appeal to someone young.

I like Angel, a gourmand perfume. Everyone tells me I smell nice or wants to know what perfume I'm wearing when using but it is quite heavy, not for all occasions. Perfume is so personal that I think I would go along with the suggestion of giving a voucher unless your GD knows one she likes that you could get her. It is expensive and disappointing if you get it wrong.

NotSpaghetti, a co-worker wears a Tom Ford fragrance, and smells heavenly. I'm not sure which one it is, but it is definitely a warm wintery scent, possibly vanilla based.

Maybe Tobacco Vanille CanadianGran?
That's very popular. My husband and my daughter both have this but thete is a much newer vanilla type ones out now. I think the tobacco vanille is quite old now.
Tom Ford had a really lush one called Plum Japonais which has been discontinued. That was also
a gourmand type perfume ... but not chocolaty in my opinion.

I'm not sure NotSpaghetti, but the next time I am in a larger centre I will have a look around for Tom Ford fragrances and test them out!

I tend to wear a light citrus or or woody fragrances, but some of the gourmande ones do attract me. They seem more of an evening fragrance to me.

I know some people wear the same fragrance for years, but there are just so many to enjoy! It would be like settling on just one type of chocolate!

Although DGD did tell me I smelt like a lemon the other day 😄

I am sorry to have taken so long to respond to your kind suggestions.
I have now spoken to my Grand-daughter, and she agrees that maybe it would be best, if she herself chose a perfume and I just paid the bill!!!!!
I did not realize how expensive perfumes had become these days, and I did not really want to spend a lot of money, on a gift which she would perhaps not totally appreciate.
We will venture forth into the town centre at the week-end, so she can make her selection and then we will enjoy a nice lunch somewhere.

I think it's a good idea too Agnieszka as they all change so much on the skin.

Smell several on cards. Spray the best 2 or 3 on skin. Go away for coffee and you will find they have changed quite a lot.

Just thought, our noses get confused after sniffing... so be prepared to walk away and go back if there are lots to smell.

Yes, we had a lovely time shopping for her perfume, and then lunch in her favourite Bistro.
Renatka chose Prada Candy, and it is beautiful on her skin.
