I've put this in ask a gran rather than health because it's not serious, just itchy and annoying.
I have eczema on my eyelids!!
I've been applying Vaseline but it's just keeping it at bay. I am desperate for a cure.
Can any of you lovely people suggest any other treatment I could try.
It's not easy finding any lotions or creams to apply as eyes are very delicate.
Thank you all for taking the time to help.

try organic sea buckthorn oil mixed with almond oil. Imade it for a friend with a similar condition and it really worked. Can be bought online..

Are you sure that it is not blepharitis? that only effects the eyelids. The treatment is to wash your eyelids with baby shampoo.

If you look on the NHS site it will describe it.

No it's not blepharitis. Definitely eczema. I asked our local pharmacist, but he had no idea how to treat it other than to keep my eyelids moisturised.

I have eczema on my eyelids and the doctor gave me a prescription for a very low percentage hydrocortisone cream for when it is really bad. You can buy 1% over the counter, but that is too strong. The rest of the time I use a hypoallerginic moisturiser (Avene or La Roche Posay for me).

Gladskin eczema gel or cream is supposed to be suitable for any part of the body but you could check with the company before buying.

I recently got a small patch of eczema on an eyelid. I stopped eating plain Greek style yogurt and it went away.

I can eat all other dairy products. A friend thought it might be the yogurt culture that caused the problem.

I've never had eczema before.
