Yesterday I had a low fat cream cheese bagel with blueberries and a drizzle of honey with a gorgeous cup of coffee in a little cafe in the village with my beautiful daughter.

A brown bread (one slice) ham sandwich and a Solero iced lolly.

Cabbie21 Fri 24-Feb-23 15:29:07

I blitzed the leftovers of a pork slow cooker casserole plus some beans into a soup, heated and eaten with a brown roll that had been lurking in the freezer for ages, followed by half a banana left over from breakfast. Not my usual lunch.

Stir fried sweet chilli chicken and vegetables with rice.

In France, so we went to our local restaurant and had the Menu du Jour: butternut squash soup, turkey and mushroom fricassee with noodles, chocolate pancake with cream, a bottle of cider (we are in Normandy) and a coffee.

Then came home, finished pruning the hedgerow and started weeding the courtyard.

Potato leek soup - made with our own veg. Bread.

LRavenscroft Thu 23-Feb-23 21:37:44

2 slices of GF bread, half an avocado, beetroot, grated carrots, olives and sun dried tomatoes, followed by an apple and cup of mint tea.

bridie54 Thu 23-Feb-23 20:54:41

My friend was over and we had my home made leek and potato soup followed by rhubarb crumble and custard. My excuse was the crumble needed to be eaten as was last years from the freezer and would serve 2.
Somehow custard made me think of school dinners (our school made yummy ๐Ÿ˜‹ custard).

Soup made with spinach, leeks, celery, potatoes and enough for tomorrow too. It was a new one on me and was much nicer than I thought it would be.

Allegretto Thu 23-Feb-23 20:43:32

Ham salad and then Greek yogurt and banana. All washed down with a big pot of tea.

Witzend Thu 23-Feb-23 20:28:46

Half a pack of halloumi,,fried (just a film of oil) and some frozen spinach, done in the microwave, with lemon juice.

We had lunch out. Mine was a chicken Caesar salad ciabatta, which was very tasty. Unfortunately it came with a side of nachos, which I don't really care for, but ate anyway because I hate wasting food. Yes, illogical, I know.

Norah Thu 23-Feb-23 19:27:39

Out with a 4 year old, chips and a tomato. I know - strange hmm

MawtheMerrier Thu 23-Feb-23 19:06:14

dogsmother Thu 23-Feb-23 18:40:33

Interesting.
Mine was a pink lady apple, some olives ( black and yummy) small slices of cheddar, a couple of mixed nuts and dates.
I love this plate and have it often.

Grilled Dorada with new potatoes and a tomato salad, followed by a slice of pineapple, and DH and I shared 1/2 lire of red wine and a bottle of water with it.

Ziplok Thu 23-Feb-23 18:28:50

Iโ€™ve had a look at that recipe, Blossoming. It sounds really tasty so Iโ€™ve printed it off and think I might do it for dinner on Sunday. ๐Ÿ˜

Ziplok Thu 23-Feb-23 18:27:13

Lunch today was a turkey and cranberry sauce sandwich followed by a clementine.
Tonight, dinner will be home made shepherds pie and a glass of red, followed by red berries and yoghurt for dessert.

MiniMoon Thu 23-Feb-23 18:19:03

Minced beef casserole with sautรจ potatoes and broccoli.
