Mum cooked a shepherd's pie in the microwave - first bit of cooking she has done since she was taken poorly in December and she is relearning how to use appliances. Very grateful that it all worked!

Half a sausage roll from the baker at our market (theyโ€™re huge!) and a fresh date. First time that Iโ€™ve eaten a fresh date, oooh yum! Very expensive (ยฃ18 per kilo ๐Ÿ˜ฑ), so this might well be my first and last time!

A bowl of porridge and a handful of raisins. Itโ€™s quite chilly here so I fancied something warming. Iโ€™m making murgh makhani in the slow cooker for tonight.

I've never made murgh makhani - is it easy to do in the slow cooker?

Four sesame seed crispbread, two with Edam cheese and a yogurt. I have the same lunch pretty much every day. I try not to eat too much bread, plus a cup of tea.

I had lunch at the village cafe where we met today for our Book Group - prawn and cucumber sandwich on brown bread, slice of Bakewell tart and a cup of Americano coffee with milk and no sugar.
