Homemade vegetable soup with a swirl of cream and two slices of bread and cheese. Plus half a banana and half an apple. DH has the other halves. Oh and a cup of coffee.

Stirfry with Ebly, vegetables and the left over HM burgers I made yesterday.

ginny Thu 23-Feb-23 16:27:43

Chicken, sweet pepper and 2 lite cheese triangles and a lovely juicy orange.

Greyduster Thu 23-Feb-23 16:24:54

Four Nairn super seeded oatcakes and a wedge of Lancashire cheese, and a clementine.
Dinner will be steak and ale pie, mash and green beans. Washed down with Guinness. I have been grafting this afternoon so I reckon I deserve it (anyway, it’s medicinal is t it?😁).

Brunch at about 1:30, I don’t eat breakfast. Two weetabix with prunes, blueberries and a banana, mug of builders tea, no sugar.

NotAGran55 Thu 23-Feb-23 16:04:05

A taster portion of the veggie paprika chilli I made this morning followed by organic Greek style yogurt.

BlueSapphire Thu 23-Feb-23 15:59:51

Ham sandwich on brown bread and three pancakes, using up the batter left over from Tuesday.

Palmtree Thu 23-Feb-23 15:57:14

Mushrooms in a creamy sauce on toast and a pot of tea at a local cafe.

maydonoz Thu 23-Feb-23 15:56:41

I had some home made wheaten bread with flaxseed and chia seeds in, with a soft-boiled egg, one slice of bread with peanut butter and blackcurrant jam, delicious. I had a cup of tea or two with it and an apple later.

Whitewavemark2 Thu 23-Feb-23 15:56:23

Cottage pie with broccoli and carrots.

Things must change though because DH blood sugar is raised and so our diet will be carb free for a few weeks to get it back to normal, then avoid cake etc, which we have been eating since Christmas. We simply can’t afford to do it😢

sodapop Thu 23-Feb-23 15:56:17

Home made potato & leek soup with crackers and fruit. Main meal tonight.
In the interests of full disclosure I also had two small chocolates. blush

A bowl of porridge and a handful of raisins. It’s quite chilly here so I fancied something warming. I’m making murgh makhani in the slow cooker for tonight.

I've never made murgh makhani - is it easy to do in the slow cooker?

Super easy! Some chopping in the Zyliss chopper, I like to quickly brown the meat as it seems to keep it tender, then all into the slow cooker and leave to mature. If I’m leaving it on all day I set it to low, if it’s just for a couple of hours I set it to high, but I guess that depends on your slow cooker. It’s simmering away now and smells delicious.

I made a big pot of lentil soup this morning, ate some at two PM and will put the rest in jars in the fridge. I am going to get a Magnum from the freezer right now..

kittylester Thu 23-Feb-23 14:49:17

Nandos chicken, chips and coleslaw. Bertie's choice as we were birthday shopping. And, in fact he ate half my chicken and most of the chips - he's a growing lad!!

chocolatepudding Thu 23-Feb-23 14:46:41

I made vegetable soup, served with Ryvita and Wensleydale cheese, followed by 2 easy peelers and an apple and a cup of tea

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 23-Feb-23 14:40:05

I had lunch at the village cafe where we met today for our Book Group - prawn and cucumber sandwich on brown bread, slice of Bakewell tart and a cup of Americano coffee with milk and no sugar.

Sar53 Thu 23-Feb-23 14:37:18

Four sesame seed crispbread, two with Edam cheese and a yogurt. I have the same lunch pretty much every day. I try not to eat too much bread, plus a cup of tea.
