Asda have lots I just been looking at it.

No not bought anything. We were given, of all things, an ashtray , for the Queen’s Coronation. I still have it.

Coronation memorabilia is a waste of money. When we downsized I got rid of Coronation etc royal memorabilia which had been sitting in a succession of family lofts and cupboards since the time of Edward VII. Ok I guess if you like displaying this stuff in a glass cabinet but I don’t and I don’t recall my family ever having done so. But it’s certainly not an investment, except in the places that sell it.

Coronation memorabilia is a waste of money.
I have a Coronation spoon (from 1953) which is used every day as a sugar spoon. DH just cannot give up sugar in his tea and coffee although he's tried. It's slightly larger than a teaspoon but when I substitute it with a teaspoon he changes it back again 😁

My little metal coach and horses, which I loved, fell to pieces. ☹

I've bought nothing and have not seen many shops decorated in fact we saw more in Scotland last week!!
I have a tiny embossed New Testament given to me by our Chapel from the Queens.
I must admit like GMS I got rid of the family's collection of mugs and plates going back to Edward Vll. I never saw them on display.

I saw some cushions and china plates etc in Tesco today. They looked quite nice, not that I bought any. I was wanting some coronation napkins and paper plates for the GC tomorrow but everything is sold out everywhere. A display of tubs of Cadbury’s Celebrations lured me, instead, and we’ll use the left-over Easter napkins. 🐇 🐇

I have bought a coronation tube of biscuits, 16.5 cm tall. The column of biccies is 11.5 cm tall, meaning I have paid for a 5 cm column of thin air! Rip off.

I did find paper plates and cups in Tesco - does champagne taste the same out of a paper cup? Well, it's New Zealand fizz in fact.
No paper napkins, what shall I do? 😲

If there’s anything going at a discount, after tomorrow, I will buy something for the grandchildren. 😂

We all received a mug in 1953 but of course it got used and broken. My 11 year old DGD came home from school today and showed me a commemorative coin with her school's name on it. I'm not sure who provided it though.

I’ve still got my tiny gold coach with its eight even tinier white horses, from 1953. Some of the gold has worn off, making it a partly silver coach.

I haven’t bought anything this time, though I still may.
