I think you are probably right NotAGran55. Perhaps the little dog is a major attraction.
Georgesgran the messenger bags sound interesting as I love bags which hold a lot. In fact I bought a messenger bag (another make)a few weeks ago and it holds everything with plenty of pockets within and outside. Will be looking. The one I bought recently was heavily discounted (from a shop called Boros in our local Mall) and cost me £35 as it had a £50 discount.

Every bag brand has its fans Lovetopaint037 and Radley is no different.
I like bags and have only owned one Radley, an unwanted gift, but sold it unused and put the money towards a preloved bag of my choice.

I guess part of the appeal to some people is the dog and that they are easily recognised?

I don’t own a Radley, but over the years I’ve bought DD1 their messenger bags in most colours. Genuine leather, well made and fairly inexpensive. She says she can get plenty in them and that style leaves both hands free to deal with her son. Personally, I wouldn’t call them a ‘designer’ brand.

I love handbags and am always looking at them even if not actually buying. Could someone please explain why Radley are so sought after. Okay, they have a little dog attached but what else is there that is special? Must be missing something.

Georgesgran

Can thoroughly recommend Renapur - it’s a balsam cream for leather. DH used it on our Barbour boots to feed the leather and keep it supple.

I’ve used this on several leather handbags and can confirm that it is excellent. You can get it from Amaz*n.

Timpsons if it needs stitching and the Collonil range of products to restore it are your best bet for your bag.

I’m afraid that having a Radley bag professionally cleaned and repaired may well be the cost of buying a new one.

I need the handles of my Radley bag repaired or replaced, I contacted Radley but as Susiwakie said, they don't do repairs after 1 year.

Ditto to Timpson’s - a dd had a leather one repaired there. And then some leather restorer cream or polish.

We have a local leather goods shop where I buy leather restoration cream for my handbags. I’m sure you could get it on line.
