Contacting Amazon

Do any of you wise GN’s know how on earth you contact Amazon to let them know that a parcel you are expecting and which they say has been delivered, has not been delivered - at least not to my address?

When they deliver, they send an email to say they have delivered with the option to click on “great” or “not so great” regarding how we found the delivery.

Obviously, I clicked on not great to which the standard reply is give it 24 hours as the parcel usually turns up.

Well, it hasn’t, and there is no further way I can see of letting them know this, because you can’t go further by clicking the “not great” button again, because all it says is that I’ve already clicked it.

It’s like going round in circles.

Thanks in advance.

Go into the Amazon website. Look for the complaints procedure and follow it through.

Make sure you are signed in to your account, click on the ‘my account symbol (the little waving person on my mobile, might be something else on a desktop), click the order (or anything really).

Scroll down until you see a list of options, click on customer service, scroll down to ‘something else’, click on that, and you’ll get a chat bot, and if it can’t help, it’ll connect you to an adviser.

Go to the Amazon page, scroll down to the very bottom. On the right hand side under "Let us help you" near the bottom is "Customer service". Click on that and it will bring your recent orders up. Select the order and you will get options, one of which is 'says delivered but it's not here' Hope this works for you.

Scroll to the bottom of the page, click contact us then go from there.

Siope's right I forgot to say you must be signed in for any method to work.

Another tip is to go on Youtube and there are little videos there that take you through the whole procedure.

Thank you all, for your help. I’ll do as you suggest & 🤞I get a positive result.

As someone who sometimes sells books on Amazon I know how very fussy they are about customer satisfaction. I hope you can find a way to get through to them.

I had a parcel containing a box delivered by Amazon two weeks ago. It was left on my doorstep after 8pm. No-one rang the doorbell and I was in. Poured with rain all night and when I discovered packaged in the morning the cardboard had disintegrated and book was soaked. Tried to return book but options were download qr code and take to local PO where they would package it and send it ( no use as don't have a modern mobile phone) or print return label ( no good as packaging was saturated and don't have a printer). Took me a while but I did manage to send Amazon a message on their website requesting a callback. Was surprised when a lovely lady called Princess called back within 1 minute and sorted it out - full refund and no need to return package. All sorted out in less than 10 min. Unfortunately I can't remember where on the website I found it but it is possible.

If you are 'speaking to' a bot, don't let it palm you off. Keep the conversation open, and ask nonsensical questions if necessary 'what about the chicken?' or how may oranges?' so that it can't answer and you are passed to a human.
