Tesco customer service

Hello all

I’ve been trying for two days to contact Tesco Customer service, but they seem to want nothing at all to do with customers. Every avenue I’ve tried is met with a recorded message, and an email I sent to a customer service address found easily online, replied with ‘this email is not monitored’ go to a store. Another Tesco page gave a number to call on Sundays, but this isn’t taking calls either, so in other words get lost, we are not interested. I attached photos of the flowers which were bought in the 8 March with a sell by date of 11 March and a statement on the label saying that they stay fresh for 5 days, making 8 days from the day bought. They are in very poor condition, some practically dead but this didn’t show in the nice bouquet wrapping. They cost £10. Does anybody know how to complain to Tesco without going to the actual store please?

Companies are very quick to respond on social media to complaints

During the pandemic I had difficulty getting a delivery slot so I contacted the ceo executive team and explained that I was a long term disabled customer. I had a reply from a named person within 3 hours asking for my login script. They created a personalised login for me with access to priority slots which Ive used ever since.

Ive always found that if I rang up to complain they immediately offered me a £10 voucher or a refund.

I think the only thing they offer now is for you to take them back to your nearest tesco store for a refund. And that includes when you have a damaged item in a home delivery, it still has to be dealt with via visiting a store.

Sasta resolved the problem by telephone on Sunday afternoon.

I’ve always found Tesco Customer Services brilliant. We do online shopping and mainly have delivered, occasionally we do a click and collect. There have been times when the use by date is shorter than what they’ve advertised or I’ve ordered something gluten free and they’ve substituted for something not GF… I can’t fault their CS, luckily never had a problem, always seem to be understanding.

I have been disappointed with Tesco products recently. They claim to match prices of Lidl, Aldi etc. but I think in doing so the quality of their goods has gone down.

Instagram works for me .. They don't like negative reviews. Give that a go?

Sasta my son presented me with a big bunch of daffs that he bought at Sainsbury's last Saturday for Mothers Day. I cut a couple of inches off the bottom of them and put them in water immediately. No change on Sunday. By Monday they were obviously dead and starting to shrivel. It's ten miles to Sainsbury's from here so we decided it wasn't worth taking them back. They are in the bin.

When I have problems contacting complaints departments I usually go straight to the CEO's email. They always seem to be answered quickly, you'll also be able to complain about the lack of resoinse to your previous attempts to contact Tesco. www.find-head-office.co.uk/tesco-ceo-email/

Thanks again for the additional suggestions, all very useful. The regular (defunct) email for customer service is [email protected], now no longer monitored, so it’s good
to have other choices.

Could try SocialMedia messaging but I think best bet is the store as Store Managers seem more receptive

Sadly the Tesco Mother’s Day bouquet I received from my son are a bit sad with outer rose petals brown and crinkly already,
Though not as bad as last year’s which were from a letterbox delivery company, they were aesthetically dead on arrival and failed to rally

..

I always go straight to ....

[email protected]

And get replies almost by return.
Works brilliantly.

I made a complaint in store about pease pudding still for sale 3 days out of date. No one rushed to take them out of the cool shelves.
Funnily enough they said to help myself to a bouquet of flowers for pointing it out to them.
I didn't bother as they looked rather on their last legs

I get a weekly delivery and if a date by is short or any other problem I now contact them on twitter and they reply and sort it in a few hours. They are very good. @Tesco

You could have a good (and justified) grumble on Twitter. That often gets results.

Write a letter. Always works for me.

That's not my experience with Tesco.
The driver will take anything damaged back and the refund is made the same day.
The email they send a few hours before the driver arrives will tell you if anything in the order has a short date and you can send it back if it doesn't suit.
I mistakenly ordered a brand of coffee I don't like this week, told the driver and he happily took it back for a refund, again same day.

Some more really good suggestions thank you, I’ll keep a note as this one was sorted. I will though, get in touch in writing to say how poor it is we can’t use email to send pics in, as that’s so easy. Sorry about your daffs lizzypopbottle, that’s awful. Write to them retrospectively!

I'm afraid Iceland are not hot on customer service either. Recently, my order was mixed with someone else's. I tried phoning and e-mails but had no response. I was stuck with the other customer's groceries which, thankfully I was able to use, but they were not what I wanted.

I had 3 bunches of Tesco daffs bought for me recently. One bunch opened (but really quickly and were all dead in 3 days) but the others didn't open at all. These shrivelled up at the "neck". The shrivelling prevented water getting up to the bloom.

I've never had this happen before- it was a sorry sight in the vase.

What a waste.

I see you had the same issue lizzypopbottle
