We have a family puzzle thread which is good fun but I wondered if anyone can suggest some different games for us to try?

We do Wordle, Quordle, Hashtag, Blossoms and Connections. I also do words with Friends with individual people.

Any more suggestions?

I’m currently enjoying ‘Strands’ which is another New York Times one, it’s a beta version, I was sent a link via email but I think it can easily be found via google.

My daily word games are wordle, quordle, blossom and waffle. I usually do connections too.

In addition to the ones you already do, try octordle and waffle.

Wordlock is a good one

Similar and good for playing with the grandchildren (in the basic version) is Padlock because it's based on numbers not words

I play Word Twiddle by anagram fever. You play against others and have to type as many words as you can find in a set time. You do need to be able to type pretty fast though.

If you enjoy Letter Boxed (mentioned upthread), have a look at LetterBorder — it's the same idea (chain words across the sides of a square) but completely free, no NYT subscription needed. New puzzle every day and there's a practice mode if you want to keep going. Works nicely on a phone too.

My family have got quite competitive comparing how many words it takes us each day!

Alphalock was suggested here a while ago. I now do it every day- cross between Wordle and Mastermind(the code cracking one).
Gridogram is another I discovered from a Gransnet poster.

I do Wordle, Connections and Scrabblegram. I also do an easy crossword. I used to do the Guardian and Times when younger but grew out of it in old age.

My friends all love the Three Letters Game:

Really simple, and very addictive!

Wordiply is great! Trying to find longest word containing a set of 3 or 4 letters.

Word Wheel free daily on Metro and Daily Express or the Sun has one it calls Sundial.

There's Strands on the NY Times app with Wordle etc.

Great suggestions, thank you all! I do Worgle, Blossom, Squareword, then Spelling Bee, Wordle, Connections and Strands on the NYT app. I look forward to trying some other recommendations!

I’ve recently discovered Revealed and Tightrope - both on Britannica.com. Not too taxing and I’ve learned a lot from doing them!

The daily Minute Cryptic is a good one.

I also do squardle every day, it's a word search game. Beginning on Monday with an easy puzzle, getting progressively more difficult as the week goes on.
