This morning I nearly bought a plastic scraper that would do a million things, then a lint roller that would restore my carpets, after lunch a foundation popped up on Instagram that would change my life.
I have resisted them all and saved about £60.
What gimmicky widgety stuff have you purchased and was it good?

I rate my cherry stoner too Marmin

Reading this, I realise I've had nearly all those gadgets bar the bread maker.

My Dd laughs at me.
If I have a problem in life I buy a book, a new pair of shoes and a gadget.

Does anyone have a sandwich toaster still; the Breville one?

I have a Breville still in its’ box under the breakfast bar.
In the not too distant future I intend to be a lady who(makes)
lunches (for herself) and the toastie will play a part in this endeavour. The point being to stop subsisting on cups of tea and ginger biscuits all day then wolfing a large and calorific “dinner” about 7pm and inevitably falling asleep 😴 in front of the first vaguely relaxing TV program that comes on like a stuffed panda.

Back in the distant past, I used to enjoy and annual outing to the Ideal Home Exhibition. In its heyday, it was enormous, and kitchen gadgets there in their hundreds. Alwas came home with something!!!
My most notorious (in the family) one was a sausage maker!!!! Had to purchase kins and then fill them, Used once then given away.
Each year there I would sand at one of the Vitamix stalls, envying those who could afford to buy them. Eventually did so myself as a retirement pressie to me. Yes, it was good, and I did use it - but not really value for money - eventually gave it away to eldest daughter.
So many gadgets tried over the years, dread to think how much they all add up to!!! window cleaner for upstairs window (sponge on a magnet for outside part - never really got the art of this but running up and down the stairs to retrieve that part fallen into the garden was healthy exercise!!!

Of course, over the years bread makers (twice), ice cream maker - could not really afford the big ones that self-freeze, and smaller ones need to have space in freezer to keep the container.
Sandwich toasters, these are good but niggly to clean (does anyone remember prior to these a round gadget, held over the hob gas flames. We called them (back in the 1950's Flying Saucers'? Early manifestation of sandwich toaster.

I have over the years had some short term love affairs with things like electric Steam cooker, my final one goes to the boot sale later this year.
Living by myself, and enjoying eating well, but not cooking and preparation I suppose my whole kitchen (completely re-done ago) is one big gadget Love my boiling water tap, so no kettle on worktops. Toaster Yes, egg boiler - for me a total must - have had one of these for thirty years and in use most days (I love eggs). Soup Maker, yes even though I was originally a big sniffy about this gadget as opposed to saucepan and stick blender - but now love it in the winter. As I do the small slow cooker. Airfryer -definitely - in fact if I was doing the kitchen this year might not even bother with a normal oven. Good combi microwave - yes.
I have one gadget which will do Paninis, which I love to serve when I have visitors for lunch time. Same gadget with different plates also become normal sandwich toaster, so my original one has now gone.
Suppose Induction hobs are a sort of gadget which once used to could never be replaced.
Keep most of gadgets on worktop so that I can easily use them. Only thing kept in drawer is Panini maker.

Marmin in my first job my boss could have done with a cherry pitter. He used to make delicious fruit pies for us but leave all the stones in! hmm

Tictacnana they're out of stock of the de bobblers. Always good to have a recommendation tho, as the ones I've tried were pants. (not literally grin )

Just had a look at the Crimpit! gosh was expecting about £5. Thought I will buy one for myself and 2 daughters, as I have seen them used on Slimming world.

But seems to be around £12 shock

They quite often have BOGOF offers on the official Crimpit website. Beware of cheap versions on the likes of EBay, as I've seen people have some disasters with them.

Must say I’m tempted to a Crimpit.
I don’t usually do gadgets though - don’t have enough spare worktop/cupboard space.

Last successful gadget I bought was not only very small, but also brilliant - a little citrus zester, for £7, IIRC.

By coincidence, I won a Crimpit at a raffle on Saturday! Presumably donated as an unwanted gift.

My favourite gadget is a Nicer Dicer which cuts veggies into even-sized cubes or chips. Trouble is, they are plastic and don't stand a lot of wear. I am on my third!
