Garden cushion storage recommendations

shysal my sofa cushions could be left out but the bird droppings would make them quite horrible. I only need to accidentally leave them out one night and you may be sure they will be cr*pped on!

My next door neighbour leaves her cream sofa cushions out all year round and they still look pristine! I think some are water-repellent, like the little scatter cushion which I leave out all year.
I stash my seat and back cushions behind the living room sofa and in the cupboard under the stairs.

Thank you everyone; My mind is made up. We’re shopping today for a box for the patio, possibly front opening. Argos, will be first call.

Depending on the size I now realise that with luck I might be able to get the zero-gravity sun loungers in there too. Not sure if they are weather resistant so have always put them away at night too.

We also have a large storage box , front opening doors with a spring loaded lifting top .
Cushions are kept there Winter & in Summer never any problems. Make is well known & same make as our Gazebo , which evades me right now .

I keep mine in our garage in plastic suit bags that zip up and can be hung up with a coathanger inside or stored flat.

We just use a couple of transparent dustbin bags and leave them in a corner of the rarely used dining room during the summer. Loft in winter. Should we have mega VIPs to dinner I expect we’d tote them out to the garage for the duration.

Lots and lots of space.

We have a plastic waist/chest high "shed"
It has 2 opening doors at the front and a spring-loaded lid.
The grandchildren like to use it as a littke house when the cushions are out.
Obviously don't leave cushions in it in the winter but it's bone dry.
About 10 years old.

It does get spider visits but I'm afraid I brush them out early summer when the cushions go in.
No need to use bags in it.

We used to have one of those plastic storage boxes and the cushions stayed dry but they’re not very attractive.
We have now extended the back of the house and have a large cupboard in the utility room for the cushions .

We use those big plastic boxes, so many many cushions stay dry and bird poo free. Winter, we put the cushions in big bags, then in the boxes.

The boxes are in an open air building, outdoors would be fine.

Any particular brand or store? Is yours plastic or metal or what?

I haven’t researched them yet as it only occurred to me to ask GNers as I was yet again contemplating a trip up the garden (and probably finding that DH had locked the shed while my feet were up.)

We just got one of those cheap garden storage chests and tucked it in a corner. I put all the cushions into poly bags as well. Belt and braces, but it has worked very well for about 10 years and counting.

My neighbour has one of those boxes. And the post lady puts all the parcels in there as well.

We got one of those boxes when we got rid of the shed. We've had it for a couple of years now and so far everything seems to keep dry, including our cushions.

We have one in our yard, does the job.

My DD has one, and it was a good investment. She uses it for the kids' yard toys.
