kids dressing to look older

I find it a shame that they can't just be girls. My granddaughter is only young but I do worry, she is so image conscious, knows how to 'pose' and is obsessed with her clothes and everything has to be pink. I hope it's a phase.

i would love to hear your thoughts on this.
My beloved granddaughter was going to a last year at Primary School party. Bearing in mind the oldest of these children are around 11 years old.
They dressed her up and made her up and she did look stunning but about 15.
Surely not a good thing for a child? There was a photo of her with some class mates and they looked lovely too but more age appropriate.
Am I just old fashioned and out of touch with modern day standards? I couldn't help feeling a bit concerned.
Would love to have your opinions on this
