Comfortable shoes and trainers

Primrose53 - I've never looked at their trainers as I only use those in the gym. I found their sandals rather "formal" as I don't wear mules and the rest are heeled/platforms. There are some ok "summer wedding" type wedges.

Iam64 how did you find the fit of Hoka? I’ve looked at their website and attempted their “take a photo of your foot” sizing but it didn’t work on my iPad.

I have tried loads over the years. I have wide feet with various problems. I buy COSY FEET online. They have different styles for different issues. They usually have a description telling you which ailments they suit best. Customer service is good. If you don't want to buy online some care shops for mobility scooters etc stock them. They are not the cheapest but regularly have sales.

My mum had burning sensation on her feet and I believe she was put on meds by GP. Might be worth a check.

Love my Skechers. Really comfortable

I too love Skechers! I have two pairs of their "slip-ins" and wonder how I ever managed before - no more bending down to get them on or tie laces. One of them is from a collaboration they did with Snoop Dogg! Well, I am only 69.....

Hotter have some very good styles and wider fitting shoes. My Mum, who has bunions, finds them the most comfortable. My sister has inherited the problem and was told by a podiatrist that Hotter was the best brand for this.

A few years ago when they were first on trend I bought a pair of crocs. I bought mine in bright yellow. They are the ugliest thing ever but boy do you feel as if you’re walking on air when you wear them.

I would never wear them out but for around the house and garden they are a God send. So soft and spongy on the balls of the feet.

They’ve had a bit of a comeback recently among the youngsters lately and while I was in hospital a few weeks ago most of the nurses were wearing them.

I wouldn’t be without mine.

I have several pairs of Skechers - now that I don’t have to dress up for work they’re ideal for me. They’re not cheap, so I look out for new or hardly worn ones on Vinted. I also like Hotter shoes, but they’re not as wide nor as fashionable.

I have two pairs of Sketcher but do not find them very comfortable. My day to day shoes are my Adidas trainers, They are so comfortable and retain their shape and springiness for years. They are lightweight and so easy to clean. I have navy with white soles and also taupe which I wear with everything. I have arthritis in my feet and ankles, hammer toes plus toes deformed from pointed shoes in the sixties! I need all the comfort I can get.

Sketchers are like slippers. They are comfy but don't offer my feet any support. I only buy lace-ups now as I need the support for my foot. No particular brand but if they aren't cushioned I just buy foam in-soles. No more foot pain!

It depends which sort of Skechers you buy. I've got some of the 'Arch Support' range which are brilliant!

Pain in your sole is Plantar Fascitis - well, Ithink it is - not being a doctor, but knowing full well what you are describing.
I have very horrible feet and find that Fit Flop have some ( very expensive) shoes that are the most comfortable I can find. And if your feet are wide or even if not, DB Wider Fit shoes have a range of sandals and other shoes - not as pricey as Fit Flop and I've just received their latest catalogue which has quite a lot of reduced prices. They have their own special way of measuring your feet too.

Tik tok shop sell mega comfortable slip on trainers, I’ve just received 2 pairs for £10 each and they are as comfortable as my sketchers, very light

I have found Ecco and Peter Rieker very comfortable.

I find Hotter the most comfortable shoes, sandals and boots I have ever worn and I have bunions and misshaped toes !

Burning pain under balls of feet can mean that you pronate and you can get corrective insoles that will really help.

Skechers all the way.

Even my orthopaedic surgeon who I see for 6 monthly injections for an arthritic foot recommends them.

Sketchers . I have a drop foot which has had several operations and ca b be very painful. I have Sketchers in lots of different colours. Very light and comfy .

I used to have sore feet with hammer toes and then i discovered FitFlops. Unfortunately they are expensive but you can buy them cheaper, and, because they have hard innersoles,
I first tried them from EBay. No more sore feet

Sketchers don't work for me, either too big or too small. I got a pair of Allbirds - very, comfortable. Wore them all day for the first time wearing and they were as comfy at the end of the day as at the beginning.

There are different sorts of fittings. Mine are oh so comfy lace ups and I like them because they do not pull in the large toe, adequate toe room without over wide ankles.

I have sketchers toe post/flip flops, wore them all through lock down, but now I have noticed a few mths ago, my toes are all bent. I also dont think they helped my knees (on list for a new knee), already had a bad knee so I don’t blame sketchers at all. I wish now I had bought a full shoe

I have a beautiful pair of brown sparkly trainers from Sketchers. Wear them if not going far. My go to walking trainers are always Nike double air and they last forever.
