Things have changed a lot @Skydancer and not for the better.

I want to wish the surviors of Trafficking the best. I want to see them get justice. Not because I am one, not because I am related to one, but because I feel so sorry for anyone who has been Trafficked. Many were underage and taken from their families. Devastating for them and for their families.

Anyone who wants to make a joke of that must have no empathy or understanding of what Trafficking is.

I think some people fail to understand the gravity of the situation and prefer to make jokes out of ignorance. I shall overlook it as I'm sure if it was their daughter, Mother, sister or friend they would be devastated. Perhaps some people can only have compassion for suffering if it's close to home.

Lee posted on FB how wonderful it was to laugh, be in a theatre full (!) of people, ordinary folk who were not woke. Sums it up for me really. If ever there is a combination to bring a shudder, it is an evening with Tice and Anderson, watching Jim Davidson. Would rather take out my own appendix with a rusty knife.

I have seen Jim Davidson, he was admittedly very un PC but extremely entertaining and hilarious.

Logistically it's impossible to use AT as the cause of the horrific rise in rapes and sexual assault.

Anyway, imo, he is a symptom not the cause.

It needs a more incisive exploration of the problem to get an effective solution.

A look at other countries situations helps.

JD was investigated as part of Operation Yew Tree but
despite several complaints, he was never charged with anything.

What worries me is that JD has a fan base, as all these toxic individuals do, people who feel that because these high profile infamous men say such awful things that it is ok to do the same, it validates their prejudices.

AT is all over social media and unfortunately so are his followers. He has a brother called Tristan, who leads the same lifestyle as him. It's very disturbing to see how young men fawn all over them on social media, asking them for "jobs".

AT was removed from Big Brother in 2016 due to a video of him hitting a woman with a belt. Tristan appeared on Love Island, apparently.

NF has aligned himself with AT when he said in June2024 that AT was an important voice for emasculated men. Are we to suppose that NF is a misogynist as well?
