Daughters wedding in December , need medium heeled but comfortable court shoes, neutral colour , any ideas appreciated .

I bought mine for my daughters wedding from Gabor. Suede with a small graduated wedge. They have them in several colours. I bought the bright pink ones but also have the dusky blue and green from previous summers. Elegant and comfy- not cheap at £90.

Just an idea sounds like they are cushioned inside. Is there a Clark’s outlet near you or somewhere selling various brands?
Hope you have a wonderful day.

I second Gabor for comfortable but good looking shoes. If you choose a neutral colour, they should last for other occasions.

I have very difficult feet with arthritis in my toes.

I wore Sole Bliss to my son's wedding last Autumn but managed in Clarks (wider fit) to my daughter's some years ago.

I have to say I spent days trying to find shoes "in the flesh" pretty much all last summer and then ordered lots to try at home (in desperation).

In future I wouldn't hesitate to buy occasion shoes from Sole Bliss as I now know what size and shape fit me in theirs. They are not as varied in size/fit as (say) Clarks and seem to keep the same designs for years.

I've subsequently seen lots of Sole Bliss "used once" online. I'd risk that next time.

I’ve become a fan of caprice shoes. Very supportive, stylish and comfortable. I have a big size 8 but they are a standard D and these fit beautifully.

I think I’d be on the case now - firstly to wear them in around the house, but secondly, the shops will soon be full of winter boots, slippers and ‘sensible’ footwear for bad weather.

Yes, definitely start now!
Good luck!

Whatever you buy, get them soon, and break them in now.

New shoes are never particularly comfortable and the smarter they are, the less comfortable they will be. On that you can bet your boots!

I hope you have a wonderful day, in comfortable shoes!

Boden have nice comfortable black cut out sling back flats.

After a tkr I couldn't wear heels for a bit, flats suited.

Back to heels now, heels have never hurt my feet.

Have a lovely day, in comfort.

I got myself some kitten heel nude courts many years ago and have worn them in well. They only get occasional use but the colour and style goes with everything thus saving having to buy new every time.

Sole Bliss...they are perfect for spending all day on your feet.
I believe Queen Camilla favours them too.

I bought sme lovely slight shimmer navy court shoes from Paradox. Really comfy with a block heel style.

Van Dal without a doubt.

I'd go for Gabor too, with wider heels for stability, they're reasonably stylish but wearable. I'd also take a pair of smart sandals to change into later in the day.

NotSpaghetti Thu 29-Aug-24 12:08:12

I didn't have time to "break in" my Sole Bliss - and didn't need to change shoes.
It was a very long day!
I chose these -
They make several colours.

Gabor or Van Dal would be lovely- and certainly break them in first.

I bought Vivaia for my sons wedding at the start of August and they were super comfortable

BigBopper Thu 29-Aug-24 12:18:12

Queen Camilla swears by Sole Bliss.

Nanna58 Thu 29-Aug-24 12:21:56

Vivaia might be worth a look , not cheap but very comfortable

Missiseff Thu 29-Aug-24 12:58:04

Google

heavenlyheath Thu 29-Aug-24 14:30:25

You need plenty of money for sole bliss 🤣

NotSpaghetti Thu 29-Aug-24 17:02:26

Yes, expensive heavenlyheath - but not the most expensive by some way.

I get my shoes from Deichmann. They have some neutral coloured court shoes if you have a branch near you. I find their shoes so comfortable and the ones I've had have never rubbed.
