I had forgotten the white and off-white tights, but yes, I wore them too in the '70s with mini-dresses with short or puff sleeves, high-heeled lace up grannie shoes, oh and my tights had floral designs all the way down the outer leg!
I was a student living away from home, so I never took any of these garments home in the holidays, as my parents would have had a fit! And as I was under 18, I would have had to change into something more "suitable".

. I had the flat, lace up moccasins and the broderie anglais button-up dress from Chelsea Girl. My dad wouldn't let me wear the dress as he said I looked pregnant so I would get my pal to smuggle it out the house for me and I would change at her house. When the midi look came in we would wear the coloured tights (red/green/whatever).
