Could anyone recommend a good product to remove facial hair as painless as possible ?
I'm using tweezers atm but it can be so painful in some areas .
Thanks in advance.

Hi Nanato3, as a dark-haired woman
( A bit of silver in it now!)
I know how annoying & pesky a dark moustache can be, not to mention very unattractive, even when it's craftily-styled into a fetching curly -type flick, like the artist Salvador
Dali's.
I have always just shaved mine off.(husband's razor!)
Quick, simple & cheap.
Job done. Bob's your Uncle & Fanny's your Aunt. 😸

Tweezers , no pain, no gain.

A friend of mine uses a ‘no no’ facial hair remover, not sure of the price, but she seems perfectly happy with it

Flawless, ladies facial hair remover ( on Amazon) under ten pounds and works like a dream.

Don't shave it unless you want to be doing it every day for the rest of your life! I thought the old saying that shaven hair grows back even thicker and stronger was an old wives' tale until my mother went into hospital. It seems she'd been shaving her face every day for years. She even carried a razor around in her pocket for touch-ups during the day. In hospital she was too incapacitated to shave. Within a week her stubble was thicker and lusher than my husband's (he'd look like Father Christmas if he stopped shaving). Just don't get sucked into even starting. It probably doesn't look a tenth as bad as you think it does anyway.

You shouldn’t need to shave the whole jaw like a bloke does, it just gets rid of rogue hairs that appear here and there.

A friend uses a facial epilator, fortunately I just get the odd hair so use tweezers.

I use one of these, available on Amazon. Works a treat on upper lip and very gentle:

I don't have it bad at all but I can still see a few. I have them waxed off once a month. Does not cost alot either.

I have a Braun epilator with attachments for the whole body and face. Had it a few years now and it is excellent when I feel that pesky hair on my chin!!

I use my normal epilator.
Years ago, a friend told me that she had been epilating her leg hairs for so long, that she had absolutely smooth legs with no regrowth.
So, I decided that I would start doing this too. After about 10 years, my leg hairs were fewer, finer and weaker. By then I was epilating my armpits also.
Then, when the first beard hairs appeared, I took the plunge and epilated my facial hairs too. Like the armpits, it was painful in the beginning. But I kept reminding myself that I would have less hassles when I am older, especially when I may have to depend on someone else to do it for me.
My moustache is now much finer, and just a slight tickle with the epilator.
I do a maintenance "shave" every fortnight or so. The odd black rogue hairs on my chin get the tweezer treatment. The gray hairs can wait for the epilator.

Electrolysis. I know no other effective method.

Gummie Thu 06-Feb-25 16:11:08

I've always used Immac or other brands cream hair remover. Works for me and no pain.

Ktsmum Thu 06-Feb-25 17:26:07

Nair facial hair removal cream, quick, easy and effective

Squiffy Thu 06-Feb-25 17:39:58

I use a Wizzit epilator. You do need to brace yourself when you first use it, but you soon get used to it!

keepingquiet Thu 06-Feb-25 17:44:14

Razor for me.

Why do people insist on advertising Amazon? Do they have shares?

Other retail outlets are available...

dogsmother Thu 06-Feb-25 17:52:47

Perfectly happy with a daily shave with a razor, may not be very feminine however it’s very effective. I’m very interested in a light emitting one though.

Grandmagrotbags Thu 06-Feb-25 18:55:00

Me to Hubby’s razor gets into the nooks and the crannies 😂

Grandmagrotbags Thu 06-Feb-25 18:56:33

Me too (not to) 😂

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 06-Feb-25 19:02:59

I had electrolysis on my chin for the first time this week! £30 for a world of pain!

HiMay Thu 06-Feb-25 19:55:12

After years of electrolysis it all grew back!
Epilator for chin and the razor that comes with it for upper lip, because I find that area too painful. Tweezers for odd ones

Lizzies Thu 06-Feb-25 21:27:13

I use a Braun Silk Epil rechargeable epilator. I used to tweeze, but it was taking longer and longer so I switched. It makes me sneeze when I do my top lip, but it doesn’t take too long. I do it every few days. Hopefully it will eventually grow back less.

I’m so surprised that nobody has recommended waxing! I’ve been having my underarm's, fluff on face (and bikini line only when going on holiday these days) waxed once every 6 weeks. I have half leg done in summer as well but all of it is just fine patchy hair nowadays as I’ve been having it done since I was 15 years old when I started working in a hairdressing salon that had a beauty salon attached. It’s not painful especially nowadays as the wax is light in texture and having it done every 6 weeks suits me as I don’t have to worry about it all in between.

Pippa22 Thu 06-Feb-25 22:35:41

Finishing Touch Flawless Touch suits me very well. Buy from Boots, E Bay of course Amazon and everywhere else I’m sure. It around £20 looks like a lipstick so slips into a handbag and used 2 or 3 times a weekfor a couple of minutes, job done. No creams needed and the very best bit is that it’s painless.
