Vinted scam

I paid for an item, which even the courier tracking showed as never having arrived.
But because I never claimed within two days, I’ve forfeited my right to a refund.
The Seller has been reimbursed because she did, claim within two days.
It’s obviously in their ‘small print’, but having paid an extra amount, insisted upon them for ‘insurance’, I feel absolutely bloody scammed.

I have never had a problem with vinted, I get emails asking if I have received the item, emails saying item has been delivered,and alerts on the Vinted app saying that there are 2 days to raise a dispute, it is also stated on the item that you have 2 days to to reply “everything is ok” after the delivery time.

It is obviously the courier that is at fault so I dont know what else Vinted could have done.

I too have had no problem with Vinted, it’s an excellent app. They do send reminders of what needs to be done to complete a transaction and I respond promptly. I don’t think they set out to scam users, the whole business is based on successful buying and selling.

I find the 2 day thing annoying.
I have messed up with that once too - by going away for a weekend.

I returned something on ebay after informing seller and have never had my money back nor any response from seller. that was in january and have proof of posting

If you paid by credit card then you should be able to get the money back from your credit card company- you just have to send any documents you have as proof, including those asking for a refund. I have just had to do this with a pair of boots from a scam website…they have given me a refund, will take the case up with the company, & then I will get my card charged again if they find that it was my fault, not the other party’s.

I’ve found Vinted customer service sadly lacking. I bought a handbag which was advertised as new with tags. When it arrived it was definitely not! A tag had been tied on and it had a few marks. When I complained I was invited to send it back, which I did, but I still had to pay postage. When I complained I was hit with a brick wall…….
