@Dcba, we’re not talking about flip flops. They’re FitFlops - a different kettle of fish wink.

Oh my daughter swears by these and she has arthritic nodules. Buy a new pair and be comfortable. I will buy some when I can get over the price of what is essentially fit flops and I already have a Clarks pair.

Bought mine on Amazon for £22

I’ve read out your post about trying to buy one flip flop to my husband and just like me he thought it was beyond funny and definitely verging on the weird! ! Whatever would stop you buy a new pair unless of course you wear flipFlops that are gold plated. Please don’t test our intelligence by asking us readers such ridiculous questions! Tell me the writer of this post is joking!

My husband only ever uses one rubber glove, the other remains new in the packet. He advertised on the local free site and found someone who takes the same size and only uses the other glove. They have regular swaps. Maybe you can find someone with the other odd fit flop via the same route?

How odd 😂why does he only use one glove?

I kept my left fitflop, hoping I could get the same pair. Like you, tried to mend the right one with glue-ended up hard as hell & uncomfortable.
Eventually found a pair, same colour in a charity shop but size smaller. Can’t tell the difference in size, tbh.
I have to say though, I ruined my nice straight toes wearing them all through COVID 😩 toes now curled up.

There is a site where disabled people can buy one shoe but I'm sorry I've no idea what it's called.

I've had two pairs in the past where the toe post have snapped. Never entered my head to search for just one, I just threw them both and bought new 😳

@Loobs Have you looked on Vinted?

Shoes come in pairs, so how can one undamaged shoe be described as a “ perfectly good item” which you are unable to throw away, when in fact, on its own it is totally useless!

Maybe if you buy a new pair the one you keep will soon have a replacement? When one shoe goes usually the other isn't far behind.
However there may be an opening here for an enterprising person to start a shoe swap web-site? Some people have differently sized feet, or a missing foot?

Yes, I have already bought a new pair but I cannot bear waste - why throw away a perfectly good item if there is any chance of finding one to match - then I'd have two pairs.

Buy a new pair.

I have a pair of Fitflops size 7 which I love, they are so comfortable, I live in them during the summer months. However, the left one has split in a place I cannot repair (I have tried epoxy and also super glue) so I wondered if anybody knows where I could buy one Fitflop - I've looked at ebay but no joy. I haven't tried the actual company that manufacture them as I cannot guarantee the remaining one will last for years so I could always end up in the same situation for the other foot, anytime soon. There must be lots of people who throw stuff away when all they need is the matching item? If not, maybe I should start a site for one shoe/glove etc.
