I buy frozen sliced mixed peppers, onions, parsnips, chopped ginger, chilli and garlic, and diced sweet potato and butternut squash, because they’re all such a faff to prepare fresh and there’s no peeling, or skin and seeds to dispose of.
I cook peppers and squash for the dogs.
I freeze enough French beans to last the year, dislike frozen broccoli, cauliflower (which doesn’t like me either!), and I don’t like frozen mushrooms or carrots. Petits pois occasionally, potato wedges or chips, and I like frozen mashed potato in easy to portion pieces. I eat far more cooked vegetables this way, and stick to buying fresh salad ingredients.
I mainly shop at Morrison’s with a top-up at Waitrose ( and M&S or Aldi, but not for frozen veg).
