I was shocked to read that a number of volunteer gardeners have been sacked from giving their time free, due to them not fitting the behaviours, attitudes and values of the National Trust. 😳

The NT have refused, so I believe, to discuss this any further with the volunteers.

I don’t think the NT should leave it to a charity, they make enough money from their rocklike scones alone to have some sanitary products available for any visiting women who get caught out when periods strike.

minefield, minefield
Honestly what does autocorrect think a midfield is🤔🙄

Oh look. Now it’s corrected it to midfield not minefield or mindfield

It wouldn’t cost much as in the main, women visiting NT properties are past the menopause.

Lathyrus give up 😂

Actually Oreo, I worked in an organisation that decided to offer free sanitary products fir emergencies bu we had to stop after three weeks because they disappeared in huge quantities. Why buy when you could come in and stick up with ours😬

The toilet rolls started to disappear at the same time and we had to buy dispensers that meant you couldn’t walk away with a whole one🙄

I also worked in a charity where the sanitary products were regularly stolen Lathyrus3

We decided to replenish them with just a few items at a time but it was easy as the toilets were only 3 or 4 yards from the reception desk.
Obviously all were individually wrapped.

It’s to be hoped that visitors to NT houses aren’t all tea leaves.
😜

There are plenty of younger women visiting NT properties, particularly larger family oriented sites.

Whatever isn’t locked up or nailed down WILL get stolen.

I worked in an NT garden where we had to stop putting name labels on newly planted trees to stop people stealing the expensive ones, or rarities that had taken years to grow from seed etc. Now they just get a number.
