I’m definitely going with Kate 1949. It’s so relaxing and ensures a great nights sleep 😴
CKD stage 3 - no support only leaflets.
Churchill to be axed from British banknotes in the name of diversity.
After the online thread I thought about some people I know who don't watch TV or read.I don't go out at night but might read, watch a series or do crosswords.

Three evenings I'm out Guiding - I'm a leader at 2 Rainbow units and one Guide and Ranger unit, one of the evenings I stay after Rainbows to attend rehearsal at our Church Op and Dram Society. I also attend a monthly meeting of our Division Trefoil Guild, this month I'm running a Murder Mystery for the meeting. I'm going to see a play with friends this weekend - we usually meet up every 6-8weeks. Other nights I'll stay home watch tv, crochet or read or prepare/plan guiding activities or events. On Thursday I pick 13 year old grandson up from Scouts and take him home.
We walk dogs, make supper, clear up. I tidy a bit and lay the table for breakfast, doing what I can to make workers breakfast easier tomorrow.
Read the news, read interesting internet bits and GN, walk and brush out dog (s) and get ready for bed. I fall asleep instantly, after prayers.
I knit, sew, crochet, watch the telly. We rarely go out at night.
I often have to work the night shift, but if at home it’s nattering to friends on the phone, watching something on Netflix, reading or doing online jigsaws.Never any household chores in the evening. Also looking on here and MN and youtube. We tend to go out once midweek to the cinema or a meal out or to the houses of friends.

I lie on the sofa with the dog surrounded by junk and clutter and watch decluttering programmes on catchup tv. Trying not to eat as I’m trying to fast for as long as possible. And with my arthritic knee attached to a tens machine. Methinks I need to get a life…
Sounds good to me, but for balance you really need a Snicker in each hand 😁
When I didn't have TV I used to read book after book after book .
Or go out or have friends over .
I also liked to write,do my art work or write .
Now I watch far too much TV,
but sometimes do research and write as it drones on in the background.
Knitting, Sodoku, scrabble, TV, IPad scrolling. I occasionally go to the theatre with my WI friends or hubby and usually in bed by 10.
TV on at 7 ish. Friday night is pub night. Might play cards or mess with iPad if he doesn’t want to join in cards though.
I watch tv/programmes on catch-up, listen to music, look at things on YouTube, buy things online, look at Facebook, read magazines, do crosswords/puzzles, ring friends, text family.
I’m in the Kate’nKitty brigade. Coincidence that- my name’s Kate & I was born in 1949!
Watch the news then turn off the set. Close the cat flap. so the cats can come in but not go out again. Serve their meal. Make and eat my own dinner, wash up, text daughter, take a shower and go to bed after checking that both cats are in.
Read for a while then sleep.
On Mondays, I go to folk dance and don't come home until ten.
Other evenings I sometimes sew in the evenings or work on some other project. Sunday evening I go to Mass.
we never go out in the evening now, if there's anything worth watching on tv, I'll watch for a couple of hours or else I'm on my computer researching my family tree, or doing sudoku...
Knit watch telly drink tea then sleep!
I seldom leave my house after 7 pm. I listen to the radio from 7-8 pm - Archers, Front Row, then a detective series from 4 Extra. At 9 pm I watch something on BBC IPlayer/Netflix/PrimeTV/U - usually find something to fill an hour or so. Around 10:30 I listen to LBC while I tidy up kitchen. Bed around 11pm - read book or play some games on tablet. At midnight I listen to Jane and Fi podcast on Times Radio - that usually sends me to sleep- if not I go to Greg Jenner’s You’re Dead to Me (History podcast)
We don’t usually switch the television on until 18.00 then husband watches the news and I do online colouring or crochet. I watch something on Netflix or Amazon Prime that he doesn’t like around 19.00 then at 20.00-22.30 we watch something we both like to watch.
We watch pointless several nights per week. I'm interested provided that the questions are not all chemistry and geography. I read an online newspaper and do GNet. Sometimes I read actual books or Kindle. OH does daily sudokus to keep him compus mentus. Sometimes in the summer I go for an evening walk if the daytime was too hot.
Exchange e mails with sisters and a regular email friend.
After 8 oclock we both watch TV series that we are watching together- usually police or spy thrillers.
OH goes to bed at 11. I watch some of my own tv shows and follow on later. I like to be in bed by midnight.
I also would "watch tv and drink wine" if it wouldn't add to my expanding wasteline. Also my liver and kidneys won't take as much of the grape comfortably as they used to after my misspent youth and middle age.
🤣🤣🤣😉
We rarely go out to eat in the evening now, though we often go out for lunch. Both of us have reasonable hearing but find that night-time restaurant noise is unbearable, we can't hear each other's conversation.
Like others we also watch TV, tending to binge watch whole series that we've not seen before. We're currently on Homeland and will move on when we've watched it all.
Depends really. If it's cold and dark outside we sometimes put a film on and snuggle up on the sofa to watch it. I can't sit still for long periods though so usually do sewing/crochet at the same time.
Very occasionally go to the theatre or out for dinner - not so often now because it's so expensive, even at the local pub. Meet up with friends now and again in the evening but meet most people for morning coffee these days while we are out shopping.
Rarely have TV on unless we've recorded something particular. DH records lots of stuff, especially old films, and some of it is hilarious (like old science fiction films) and some of it is dire but often gives us a giggle and we play 'spot the actor'. Yesterday was a very old detective film starring a very young Warren Clarke with a plummy accent. Every time he opened his mouth I was expecting a Yorkshire accent or some expletive but they never arrived😆
We play Scrabble and I knit and then him indoors watches boxing match or football. No fan at all so make him put the earphones on!
I’d like to join Kate and Kitty, my all time fave evening, I’d make bluebelle come too, she’s great company!
Choir o WI on one evening! Theatre or dinner with friends now and again, knitting a blanket for OH so have to concentrate !! TV usually 9-10 unless I am binge watching something plus check emails etc. I read in bed every night ,
