Missing order

Does anyone have any thoughts? I ordered a pair of shoes from Pavers.
On Wednesday I got a message from Evri to say parcel being delivered. Since then nothing. Was told that they would check and if not delivered yesterday I would get a message by 10.00 am. Nothing since.

Have e mailed pavers who just tell me evri website says delivery weds. I know it says that but obviously not received. According to Evri website I have to contact supplier re missing order.

Any ideas. I'm extremely upset
I've been in touch with Evri.

Ask Pavers for the tracking number, it should be on your order confirmation. Then type Evri tracking into the web browser, ie google and type in your tracking number to see where it is.

Evri is so good in my area the guy a bit miserable but efficient. Sorry for your distress.

Your contract is with Pavers - they should be taking it up with Evri.

I have given tracking number and order number

Tracking still says out for delivery, that was on Wednesday

As ferry23 says, your contract is with Pavers, not EVRI and you need to take it up with them.
They should have a policy related to non-delivery.

I had to wait 21 days from when a parcel should have been delivered to get a refund from a big retailer.

With Evri it sometimes means the company has delivered to Evri they’ve received it hence received they then deliver ….. just keep checking Evri website ….. give it a few days then contact company again . I find Evri deliveries quite misleading

Shouldn't Evri take a photo of the delivery to prove it happened? A friend of mine is an Evri courier and she always takes photos. Pavers are the retailer so they need to sort it out.

What does the detail say - click the down arrow on tracking.

This is a screen shot of something Evri delivered to me this week (edited to omit GPS and photo).

How far has yours got in the process. Did you get a courier delivery time?

dollydaydream68 Sat 18-Oct-25 20:35:42

Thanks PaynesGrey that's where it says weds out for delivery

We had the same issue recently. I contacted the retailer and was immediately refunded. Perhaps best to persevere with the retailer.

ViceVersa Sat 18-Oct-25 21:11:44

You need to go to the retailer - in this case, Pavers. I've had a couple of Evri deliveries go astray recently and in each case, it was sorted out very efficiently by the retailer, with the option of a replacement or refund.

But is a courier time slot mentioned? Just trying to establish where the process broke down.

I didn’t receive a delivery from Lakeland via Evri. I’d given up on it and had even had a refund when I got a message out of the blue to say it was being delivered that day. The Evri delivery person had been on holiday and when that happens they don’t seem to replace them. I’ve found over the years that the best way to complain about missing items is via Facebook messenger. I’ve been lucky in that everything I’ve ever ordered has eventually turned up albeit sometimes causing a lot of distress at the time (eg when my new passport disappeared in transit).

A parcel from QVC was showing at the delivery depot, but never turned up.
QVC contacted Evri and I received a refund.

On another occasion, the parcel was sent to the wrong Evri depot ( there are two in Glasgow), it did appear eventually.

Pavers should be chasing the missing parcel, not you.

Thanks for all your advice. I got a message saying out for delivery but no time slot. Still got same message.

PaynesGrey Sun 19-Oct-25 02:31:34

This sounds like a glitch with the allocation of the parcel to the final delivery person. I know they are given time slots and must deliver within that window, neither more than 15 minutes earlier or later.

Assuming you don’t live somehere remote - see …

… it’s now up to Pavers customer service team to sort this out.

Call them on 0344 844 0809.

If you still get no joy, post a negative review on TrustPilot. There are plenty of those and most are about poor delivery. It says Replied to 98% of negative reviews. Typically replies within 24 hours.

Photos of parcels left anywhere but inside your property or in your hands are not proof of delivery. Never, ever give a ‘safe place’ where parcels can be left if you are not in as this makes you liable if the parcel goes missing.
Amazon, who are usually very good, recently took a pic of a parcel which was clearly taken on my doorstep. The delivery person then picked up the parcel and disappeared with it. Amazon didn’t want to know until I sent them my Ring doorbell proof of this. Deliveries get less reliable as we get closer to Christmas.

I read something yesterday - can't remember where now but it was about Evri and lack of delivery drivers if there are holidays or sick leave and some drivers are having to tackle the backload. I am also of the belief that the company you have ordered from is ultimately responsible for goods that are not delivered.
