Cutting it fine. Disappointed with slow customer service.

I paid for an annual family ticket to a wildlife zoo over two weeks ago. They said Head Office would send the voucher, they didn't issue them at the zoo. When it didn't come after 10 days I phoned up, and they said it would happen this working week. Seeing as there are only 2 days left, what would you do?
The zoo shuts for Christmas on 23rd and I'll be without the main gift for my DGS.

The postal service in our area is in a dire situation, people are waiting weeks for letters - important ones at that, and seemingly they’re making parcel deliveries a priority over letters due to staff shortages.

That is disappointing. Same thing happened to us with a National Trust family membership. We had our family get together last Saturday and the gift hadn't arrived in time. We made up a little voucher and put it in a card, telling them what the gift was. But hopefully you will still get the voucher in time. If it doesn't come tomorrow, I would give them another call. There will still be post on Friday, Saturday and Monday...?

Oh MartavTaurus, how annoying. I would try to 'craft' a little certificate or a scroll decorated with zoo animals( drawn free hand cartoon style or cut out pictures) then rolled up and tied up with a red velvet ribbon. They will still be excited at the thought of the adventure, don't worry!

Thanks, keepcalmandcavachon. I'm adopting your great idea,and great name, calmly, pens, pritt stick and crayons at the ready. (though I'm not highly creative!)

So I phoned the Head Office again on Dec 18th to be told it had been sent 1st class that very day! (Hmmm).
Still not arrived today , Dec 22nd, so I phoned again.
The incompetent fools had sent it to the wrong address, ie my DGS, despite it saying in huge red letters on the form (filled in by a member of their staff),NOT to be sent to the member cardholderbut to MY address.

So now I have to wonder whether DGS's family has even received it without somehow spoiling the surprise.
Grrrrrrr. 🦁 🐅 🐯 (plenty of them at the zoo to get growling!)

Cur and paste a photo of the zoo from their website and add your own text to make a certificate. That’s what I do for a friend that I buy a ballet ticket for.
