If nothing is showing up I wouldn’t worry too much. Might have schoolitis., perhaps some kid is bullying him.

Meant to say she took him to the Drs this morning. They are waiting to be triaged in A&E now

We have considered a school issue due to the ‘tummy ache’ issue, although he denies any issues.
However, that wouldn’t cause a high fever and paleness

You have your hands full right now so no wonder you are getting anxious. My GS who is 3 had a spiking temp at night but fine during the day for over a week. They took him to docs and had tests done but nothing showed up. I think that at this time of year children catch all sorts of viruses, is a faff but am sure your GC will be ok, good job they are checking him thoroughly though. Always wise.
I do hope that in the midst of all this upheaval and turmoil you are thinking of your own well-being, be kind to yourself, take time out when you can and try to unwind in whatever way works for you.

Of course you'll be worried about both your DD and DGS but it seems to me that all sensible action has been taken. There's not much more that anyone could do except hope that the medics get to the source of the problem.

I hope they do and that your DGS is better soon.

You will be worried about your daughter and the imminent birth. A great joy but always a worry until the baby arrives safely. Hopefully, your support with the children etc will help her to rest more.
Your grandson might be feeling unsettled with everything that is happening but he is also at the age where he will be picking up all kinds of infections at school.
Hopefully, he will feel better soon.
There is not much you can do about your son in-laws situation re the weather but hope that he gets back on track soon.

It's that time of year. Cold bugs thrive in our cosy homes. Nurseries and schools are 'germ factories'. The wee lad has been checked over, and nothing untoward has emerged. Just hang on in there. Keep looking after yourself. I know, folk always say that.

It could be a grumbling appendix. Not fun, but at least he will have intervention and soon be on the mend.

You do have a lot of your plate but I have a saying, 'Never trouble trouble 'till trouble troubles you.'

He is being looked after, as will your DD be as she gets further in her pregnancy.

Keep your feet on the ground and focus on getting through this storm without losing your footing.

Worrying is like stting in a rocking chair- it gives you something to do but you don't go anywhere!

Trust the medical staff, and just be there for your family. They need you to be strong and stready, not a crumbling wreck.

He has swollen glands and is spiking a temperature again. They are doing bloods now and want to rule out appendicitis
It certainly does all happen at once. DD is under the cardiologist and I am currently under urology so it is A LOT at the moment.
We are all so tired as haven’t slept worrying about everything!

Oh Flaxseed you have a lot going on. They say, it never rains but pours . I too am an over thinker and I too ‘catastrophize’. I do understand.
Your DGS is being checked over. It’s probably just a virus.

My old mum used to say ‘trouble likes company’. Let’s hope that you are due a break after all this and you can all settle down and relax in preparation for the new baby which will bring its own worries but it’s own blessings as well.

I think that all mothers and therefore grandmothers go through scares with their children /grandchikdren -one minute they are fine and the next you are running to A and E in a blind panic.
My mother was looking after my daughter and she developed a rash -it was a heat rash from over heating her .
My mother was hysterical over it .

Your grandson could easily have a virus or appendicitis.
Viruses are strange and present in different
ways sometimes coming on with tiredness .
Appendicitis is less seen these days .
It's easy for me to say don't worry!
But wait for a proper diagnosis .

His bloods have come back normal!
They are still going to cover him with antibiotics though. Hoping they can come home soon. Although I obviously won’t stop worrying until he’s better.
I swear I worry more about the grandchildren than I did about my own children (internet obviously doesn’t help!)
And then of course I will worry until the baby is here and everyone is well.
I guess worrying comes with the grandparenting role
