Cheques

I hope a gran might know this.
Northern Bank was taken over by Danske Bank. I still have a Northern Bank cheque book. (Yes, I should have got a new cheque book).
I need to send a cheque and wonder if my NB Cheque Book is still valid. I think it's valid as sort code and account number remain the same. Documents are being posted with a fee and I don't want them to have to be returned.
As it's Good Friday the banks are closed so I can't ask them.

Are you online with your bank? If so, can you ask on customer services, if they are working of course.

Just because the banks are closed, the CS department might not be.

As long as the sort code and account number hasn’t changed it is fine, I worked in finance, you can actually write a “cheque” on anything as long as you put the correct information.

Unfortunately, Customer services is closed today.
