Persimmon soap helps with body odour in older people. BUT, you need to make sure that you don't have an infection.

Carmen please see your GP , you may have an infection that can be easily treated. Don't be embarrassed! It won't be anything new to the doctor. Make that appointment ASAP to put your mind at rest. Go for it , make that call today.

Might you have a prolapse that is making wiping more difficult? That could cause odour, but whether it is that or another cause it should really be investigated. I know the thought of intimate examinations isn't pleasant, but infections and other issues can usually be sorted fairly easily.

Do make an appointment to get this checked OP. There could be several reasons and a medical professional trumps all other social media experts IMO.

It's very common for older women to develop what's now termed genitourinary syndrome of menopause (it used to be called atrophic vaginitis). This can cause a number of different issues, including a higher risk of urinary tract infections. I second seeing a doctor about the situation.

As an aside, if you are diagnosed with GSM, even if you don't wish to or can't take systemic hormone replacement therapy, it might be an option for you to use vaginal estrogen. My understanding is that the systemic absorption from this is minimal, so you don't run the risk of systemic side effects. Your provider can help you determine if this is a suitable option for you.
