Cleaning tea stains in cups

I have used bleach and I've used Milton along with a metal scrubbing pad, any other ideas?

Baking soda or salt on a soft cloth cleans tea stains
Metal scrubbing pad scratches and makes staining worse on cups

What you need are sponge erasers. Just damp them and they will remove the tea stains a treat. They also have may other uses and are cheap to buy. I got mine in Poundland.
