teatime like so many others I have no words that will really help you at the moment. What is lovely for you is the support you have here at this terrible time.

One day you will be able to console yourself that you have done so much for this special child, and that she died loved, adored and secure.

Sadly no one can reduce your grief. It is the price we all pay for loving.

I’m glad I’m not writing this in ink- it would be smudged.
I can’t even begin to imagine your pain.

I have only just read this thread, and I am in tears writing this. Teatime, I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am for you and your family at this devastating time. Poor little girl and poor poor all of you. hugs. x

So sorry to read about your granddaughter, such a hard thing for you all to go through.
My friend lost her 22yr old daughter to the same illness earlier this year, though they did have some time to make a lot of happy memories with her which has helped them cope a little.
I hope you have lots of support over the next weeks.

Teatime I'm wakeful and have come on GN for the first time today, so have only just read this post. I am so, so sorry for the difficult situation you face and the pain of loss that you're anticipating. There is nothing to say that will change the circumstances, but know that others are holding you in prayer and kindliness of thought. In time there are many on here who can journey alongside you on a path they've already taken, but for now just get through each day as best you can.

I am so very sorry teatime, you are having to bear a double burden of grief for your little granddaughter and seeing the suffering of your son and daughter in law too. My heart goes out to you.

It’s the worst of all worlds, watching a precious granddaughter slip away and your own child suffer so much too. Thinking of you as you try to stand back and be led by your son and daughter in law. x

Oh God, teatime what a bloody awful hand fate has played this poor little love. I am so sorry, there are no words of comfort. You must be in a living hell, I just can't imagine. Thinking of you and praying for you all, especially for your darling granddaughter, wishing her peace.

I don’t know what to say, hugs, flowers, nothing is enough. I think I can speak for everyone here when I say you can always come here. I know we aren’t “real”, but then strangers can be better in some cases.

But I’m sure there are, and will be times when you want to cry, shout , scream, you can do all of that here. My thoughts are with you.
