annsixty I am so sorry to hear your news and send you my condolences. The last few years have been very difficult for you both, but you must be thankful that the end was peaceful for him and that you were there.

So sorry to hear about your husband Annsixty You did everything possible for him right to the end. After 60 years you have so many happy memories to comfort you, the last few years are only a small part of the life and love you shared together.

Generally lurk these days but had to log in to wish you well in your sorrow. Have followed your journey over the years and hope that all will be well.

So sad for you annsixty especially after such a long happy marriage. Have seen many of your posts about him and you clearly did everything you could for him. Sincere condolences.

So sorry Anne, I doubt that knowing it was imminent helps one bit. The next few weeks will probably be taken up with sorting things out and then you will have to find a way to cope. In the short term I think that just keeping on keeping on is all you can do.
