If my experience is anything to go by, getting past all the “this time two years ago...” day by day countdown of events which are so etched in your memory does help to ease the pain once it is past.
Pink princess I had not realised, but sending love and condolences to you too. 
Just thinking this might be an especially hard time for some of you, some of us.
