My neighbor has died

Personally, I'd stay inside unless I'd had a relationship with them. It's a lovely gesture to offer respect but given the time frame, it could possibly be misconstrued.

I'd stand outside.
It's just a mark of respect for the ending of someone's life, and I don't think it seems nosy.

My question is I only moved into my home five months ago and it’s my neighbors funeral today should I stay inside or stand at the door in respect or would that look like a nosey neighbor. I feel like I should stand outside with my head lowered
