Remember Aberfan

My Mum saw a request for kids to write a poem about the Aberfan disaster to be published in a book to raise money for the families affected.

No crowd funding or similar in those days.

My poem was chosen and Mum bought the book which I still have.

I was 13 and I don't think anyone who saw the dreadful black and white footage on the T.V. will ever forget it.
