Can anybody recollect (late 1980s onwards) an illustrated children's book called "Bogart" (one "g" I believe). The eponymous, somewhat spooky character was drawn in such a way that that its face looked as face both the right way up and upside down. In another drawing the clock said "quarter past egg". Neither myself nor my sons seem able to locate this much loved book, despite much googling. Thanks for any info.

Did you manage to find this book? I too have very fond memories of it and would love to find a copy but so far no joy.
Yours is the only post on google with reference to it!

Hi, I too am looking for this book for my mothers birthday. She used to read it to us as children and has fond memories... Any luck finding it or an authors name?

Is this it?

Think it might be the one by Emma Tennant - the other one's 2001.
