Over the festive season we love nothing more than curling up with a good book and a box of mince pie or two. And this year there are some VERY good books indeed. So we asked all the publishers we work with to nominate one of their favourite reads to enjoy this Christmas. And here they all are in one handy list.

Better still - one lucky gransnetter can win the ENTIRE lot. Yup - that's every book featured on the page. Worth more than £500. In our book (no pun intended) that's a pretty fine haul at any time of year - and absolutely perfect for Christmas.

We just want to know where you like reading. Your answers will be put into the very large hat and a draw (made at random) will take place at midday on Weds 10 December - so the winner will receive their prize in plenty of time for the big day. All the details on the page

Anywhere, anytime!

Almost (!) nothing beats time with a good book. The hours just fly by.

I love to read anywhere but especially relaxing on a quiet beach when there are no time pressures.

I like to read on long bus or train journeys.
It takes me an hour on a bus to visit my grandchildren so I always make the most of my time travelling by reading. I don't notice anything around me, I just relax and enjoy, only lifting my head if I reach a funny bit, where I forget where I am and laugh out loud or a very sad bit where I get all teary, then I come up for a breather and to see if anyone noticed my tears or funny expression!!

Other than travelling I like to read after a bath, jim jams on and tucked up in bed with a side light on, all cosy and comfy.

My favourite place to curl up with a good book is definitely in bed which means having an early night because once I start reading I find it impossible to put the book down.

If I had a conservatory, that would be the best place to read on a long summer evening with a dog at my feet and a cat by my side.

Well my very favourite place to read is on a sunbed on holiday, but if I can't do that I like to read in bed best of all.

My favourite place to read? Hmm. I quite enjoy reading on trains, when they're not overcrowded that is. I find it quite relaxing. But for optimum relaxation I like sitting on my sofa or bed with my feet up. Particularly if it's raining outside.

My favourite place to read is on a window seat, on my landing, which is designed to look like Lord Nelson's cabin. All I need is a cocked hat to complete the illusion. His portrait looks down at me as I nestle amongst velvet cushions. Smug? I should say so!

I love to get up before the rest of the household, make myself a cuppa and curl up on the recliner that is in my bay window, there I will sit reading for maybe an or two, pure pleasure, oh and the cat is usually curled up with me!!

There's nothing I love better than curling up on the sofa with a good book and an empty house.

On the bus into work, well away from possible distractions of phones, email etc.

Fantastic prize. My favourite place is my lovely, comfy armchair in a corner of my dining room, away from the noise of the TV

I've always enjoyed reading in the garden but have just moved house and we only have a teeny yard so I may have to find a new favourite place!
